- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

After the completion of your 3rd year, you are eligible to take the placement offers.
The placement scenario is very good and a max number of students are placed until their completion of the final year.
There are numerous companies which include TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Maruti Suzuki, ABG, L&T, etc.

They provide placement support for both final and pre-final year students. Companies like byjus, Deloitte, and TCS are coming for placement drives. The college avarage package is 7 lpa from my department 50% to 60% of students get placed in core companies like L&T, and Vedanta.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I didn't choose mechanical engineering, but mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineers are all-round experts, and their jobs will never end. The teachers here are very supportive, and help in every possible way, by providing notes, clearing doubts even after college hours, and some teachers even provide textbooks to needy students. There are 4 exams every year, and 2 semesters. Each semester has a 50 marks end semester exam and a 30 marks mid-semester exam. The rest 20 marks are from internal assessments, given by the teachers.

Placement Experience:
Several companies visit the college ranging from mass recruitment companies like cognizant and Deloitte to core companies like Maruti Suzuki and L&T. The average package offered is 7.5lakhs and the highest on-campus package in 2022 was 17.5lakhs. The students can even apply for off-campus placements if they are not satisfied with the package they are offered. Almost all of the students(both from on-campus and off-campus) get placed in college. Many students even apply for higher studies. The college has the strongest Alumni network with many cities having their own Alumni chapters(in fact the strongest in all of Odisha).

Placement Experience:
From the 7th semester onwards students become eligible for on-campus placements.
Various good companies like Delloite, Amazon, Microsoft, Credit Suisse and Cred visit the campus.
Most of CS/IT guys get placed with decent packages of 6-7 LPA. The highest on-campus package is 18 LPA, highest off-campus is 32 LPA(Google).
As of the 2020 CSE batch, there was 100% placement. The highest package was 18 LPA. The average is around 6-7 LPA. Only 2 students got 3.2 LPA which is the lowest package.

Most of the students get placed in campus placements. Around 60-70 companies visit the campus every year. Some of them are start-ups. Students can sit in placement from their 7th semester. The highest package of last year was 17.6 LPA provided by Bank of New York and the average package was around 6 LPA.

Now I am a student in the 3rd semester and next year I will be on campus, The highest package is 15 lakh per annum and the average package is 7.5 lakh per annum. minimum 80% of students get to campus and the others have good start-up plans.

Students get PPO offers from the 6th semester onwards. A wide variety of companies visit for on-campus placements which is a great thing across all branches. Nearly 75 percent of students get placed every year with average of 6lpa offers

The placement cell is very good here. Students from the 6th sem are eligible for placements.
Most of the MNCs visit our campus including Tcs, Infosys Wipro Cognizant IBM Deloitte PwC Aditya Birla, Tata steel, Tata power etc
Placement is about 98%.
Highest package of our batch -18LPA
Average package - 5.5LPA
Most the students opt for jobs after college and so will i.

Placement Experience:
The college has a good placement record, but it only has an 80-95% placement rate. Because the members of the college placement cell are quite expert and have very good industrial exposure, they invite good companies for the placement drive, and the placement cell also assists us during the college placement round. The college's highest placement offer is 12 Nalco, MCL, RSPL, CTTCA, and the median income offer is around 7.50 LPA.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
