Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

Review of clinical engineering at IIT Madras

Placement Experience:

The highest salary package offered was Rs.45 LPA and average salaries of Rs.16 LPA were offered in our final placement program. We were offered the job opportunity mainly from the tech-based company, Research and development departments, and tech-based start-ups. We received offers from medical companies, hospitals, and some MNCs like IBM, Google, Tata, Apple, BCG, etc.

Placement Experience:

In the final year, students can apply for placements. Many big companies come like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, have given offers. The highest packages are international offers which go in crores, average CTC is 37lpa which is in the profile of software development, followed by Data science profile with average CTC of 20lpa. My plan after getting a degree is for another exam. and not sitting for placements.

My experience of IIT Madras

Placement Experience:

84% of the students got placed in the placements of 2021. The number is less as the students who sat for placements were limited in number. Rs. 70 LPA was the highest CTC offered to the students. Larsen & Toubro emerged as the top recruiter of the week. Intel Microsoft, ICICI Bank, Tata Projects, Vedanta Limited, ON Semiconductors, Bajaj Auto, Samsung were some of the participants of the placement week.

Enriching experience of IIT Madras

Placement Experience:

Percentage of students getting placed after M.Sc. course is not very high. Around 14% of the students were placed from my batch as very less students sat for the placements. The opportunities were also ok as the highest CTC was Rs. 8 LPA. Core sector observed the highest number of placements followed by the IT sector. Larsen & Toubro company offered the highest number of placements (around 45).

Placement Experience:

You cannot doubt the placement of IIT Madras. The college provides one of the best placements for us and the college has a record of 100% placement. Few of my batchmates received the pre-placement offers during the internship program. The efforts of the placement committee are really superb we have to register our names with the placement committee for placement. The placement committee makes sure that every one of us is properly placed. The highest package for our batch was around 78 LPA and the average package was around 22.50 LPA. Around more than 75+ companies visited our campus for the college placement drive.

Studying at IIT MADRAs

Placement Experience:

Throughout the positioning semester, I had formed the possibility to build associations with the graduating students, who were just batchmates who assisted me much in this tough process. In addition, the Job and Placement Centre aided us by professionally educating us all before integrating people into the market as better pros and folks who bring about significantly to the. With an average salary package of 14. 4 lakhs, almost 100% of my batch was placed. McKinsey, Accenture, Dell, Amazon, APPLE, and HCL were the real key recruiters during our MBA location drive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in chemical engineering fields and hence I opted for this course. In this college mentorship is available. For each 20 students there is a mentor . Qualifications of professors in cmrit is minimum of masters and maximum of PhD in their respective fields. Exams are semester wise.

JEE Advanced is used to determine admission. And the branch to which you are assigned is determined by your rank. Physics, Chemistry, and Maths from 11th and 12th grades are included in this section. In addition, a student must get at least 75% on their boards and pass the JEE mains.

Placement Experience:

I had heard many success stories from the placements of an IIT. When i sat for my placements, i realised what everyone has been talking about. In the field of science, a lot of research facilities also visit the campus for job recruitments. Highest CTC was Rs. 70 lakhs. I wanted to pursue research and got an excellent job in a research facility. Some of the top recruiters including Qualcomm, Microsoft, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs and many others participated in the placement drive.

M.Tech From IIT Madras

Placement Experience:

IIT Madras provides the best return on investment. The average program fee was around Rs. 5,00,000/- and the average package during the placement drive was around 20 LPA. The college has a 100% placement record because the placement committee is very professional and hardworking they make sure that every participating student is placed. The highest package for our batch went up to 75 LPA and the average package was around 23 LPA. Companies like Qualcomm, Microsoft, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, American Express, L&T, Deloitte, Amazon, Raukten Mobile, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive. I also got placed in Microsoft with a package of 25 LPA.

The online Data Science program at IIT Madras is a great opportunity for someone who can not attend regular college because of financial constraints, illness, or other reasons. The online BS in Data Science and Application allows students to gain knowledge of this field from one of the most reputed engineering colleges in India.

The online lectures are taught by experienced faculty members from IITM. What I found most interesting was the professors' distinct approach to teaching. The students are routinely assisted by committed and supportive staff.

IIT Madras has undertaken a unique approach to imparting their expertise in the highly demanded field of Data Science.

What are your thoughts on IIT Madras offering a bachelor's degree/diploma online?

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.

The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.

Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.
