the course curriculum is very well managed to provide the student enough time to improve their newer and soft skills in a professional manner and the profession in this area is filled with scope in terms of the upcoming scenarios of the nation . the difficulty of the exams are very leniant and can be easily managed by any serious and professional time management student.

The placement at IIT KGP are fairly decent. Top multinational companies come here for recruitment . The students of 8th sem are eligible for placements. There were more than 1500 offers made by companies in 2023-24 batch. Heighest package was 2.68 cr and average package 20,00,000. Nearly 80 percent students were placed.

My course is applied geology. In this field you can go for research and further studies. And also you can go for ongcs , drdo etc. for placements. It is not that paying job but very scope full in further studies and researches

The students become eligible for placements after there 6th semester . But there is also a province of Pre Placement Offers where the students can secure there jop in the 5th semester itself. Many big names like google, microsoft , Nvidea and others visits the companies and a total 1600 offers were made in the year 23-24. the highest package was 2.3 cr and the average package stood for around 16lPA.

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester for the 4 year program. 100+ companies visit and make 1600+ offers. Visiting companies include FAANG , hft/firms and core engineering companies like Texas instruments/Nvidia. Highest package was of 1.68cr and avg package ranged from 15-20 lakh 80%+ were placed in UG program I haven't decided particularly if I should do masters or prepare for job or go for other venture as the college provides good enough safety net for each thing

Main aim is to join a high paying corporate job which is easy over here. Many companies such as TVS, Bosch, Ola Electric, SAM, Khaitan, Samsung, Mercedes Benz come here for placements. Every student gets placed.

In the starting of your final year you are being registered with the CDC(career development center) who lets you apply for all the companies which visits campus. The placement stats qre around 70% and the average package is around 20L which is pretty decent.

The scene of Placement and internships is too good here. Almost in every department 90 percent students got placed. Here many quant companies, software companies and consultancy companies visited. And avg. And median package of every department is good enough.
