IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Campus placements are very good in our college and highes placement of last year was 4Cr + . Almost 90% students get the placement and median package for all branches are 15 lpa while for my branch is 18blpa. Companies like google , Microsoft, amazon visit to induct students .Goldman Sachs and McKinsey also visit the college each year

From 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Google, Facebook come to our college for placements to pick best of the students for their companies. The highest offer was about 2.68 crores. A large amount of students get placements but Many students try to get off campus placements too, via providing the company their CVs and applying for their interviews. My plans after the degree is to startup my own company.

Placements scenior is quiet good almost all the willing students get placed through collage only. Netherless collage placements takes lots of effort you need to be good at your working skills and effective enough to compite with others.

Many well known companies visit iit kharagpur for electrical engineers like bosch siemens luma etc. The average package is of 25 lpa for electrical. The highest package is of 68 lpa. 79 percent of students get placements. my plan after getting a degree is to work for some time and get my masters degree abroad.

The internship also provide stepends and the college provides campus placement . Companies such as Google , Apple, Uber, etc . visit for campus placement and the placement percentage is also quite appreciated.

My course is instrumentation engineering, which is considered as circuital branch Curriculum is very much relevant and prof do teach very well here there will be two mids, two semester, 4 class tests performed year

The placements in the colleges are all well and good. The college provides placement oppurtunities for both B Tech students and M Tech students. The B Tech and M Tech students both are elegible for placement in their final year, and for internship in their prefinal year. The average pakage offered is 23 to 25 lakhs.

In the final year, a student is eligible for campus placements, 75% of the registered students are placed and the others have to go for off campus placements. also here if you are in a good branch, you will get good package otherwise, you will get w=very low package.

The placements differ for each department, but mostly the companies which come here to offer placements are divided into three groups ones who are there only for your department, ones who open only for circuital branches and those who are open for all/multiple branchers. For which branch a company opens for is their own decision. But overall the placements are amazing for all the branches. The B Tech. students are eligible for campus placement in their 7th sem whereas the dual degree students are eligible from their 9th sem(another eligibility criteria is that you should have atleast a P grade in all the subjects). Around 60 to 65 companies visit each year and make 700+ offers. The highest package can be around 1 or 2 crores and average being 22 to 25 lakhs. around 95% students are successfull in getting a placement or PPO.

Students from the starting of 5th semester they can submit their application for CDC internship and for the placement they can submit their resume in the 7 th semster and students majorly get placement . All the topmost gient tech companies including facebook, google , microsoft , amazon, netflix and bog companies come for placement interview. Highes package is 2.6 cr and average package is about 18-20 LPA . M y plan is to grow my startup and join companies for funds related things.
