Jadavpur University Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Jadavpur University is always famous for its placement . From 4 th year student become eligible to get placement. Tata, ITC, airbus, Bajaj moto, cognigen ,BMW , GAIL, PSUs and etc are coming & you get more than 1 offer regarding your performance. In mechanical 80% students are placed more or less. My plan to do job in PSUs

After 3 rd year all students are eligible for placements, many huge companies IBM,TCS,Tata,IOCLetc comes and gives highly packages every year. Almost 10-15 lakh is the minimum annual job package and almost 50-60 lakhs are the highest packages. Almost 90% students get placements. My plan is to sit for all india exams likeIAs,ips upsc after completing bachelor degree.

From 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. GAIL, OYO, Hindustan Pvt Ltd., Around 100 offers are made. Highest LPA 20 lac and avg 8 lac in mechanical engineering. Around 90% of students are getting placed. Preparing for government jobs.

Placement in JU is extremely good, it's well above some NIT and some new IITs also. Students become eligible for internships from the 2nd year, but most students grab internship opportunities in their 3rd year. Many big companies such as GAIL, AMAZON, IOCL, PwC, BHEL etc also visit for campus placement but they require very high CGPA for their selection Total of 100+ companies visited campus in the 2020-2021 session.

1)For internship 3 rd year and for placement 4th year. 2) Google, Amazon, Microsoft, At Lassian, Texas instruments, Uber, Samsung, PWC and lots of other companies visit ONE IMPORTANT point is that The PSUs like IOCL, NTPC, ONGC also come in college and direct select the students without giving GATE exam that is not in other colleges, only a few IITs, JU and some other colleges. 3)This year Highest CTC offered by Amazon is 55 LPA and the average CTC is 10.2 LPA 4)70-80% get placed 5) Not a fix plan right now.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for the placements. Various companies come for placement. Naming the big one's Google, Amazon, Mircosoft, DE Shaw, Deutsche Bank, Well's Fargo, ZS Associates, Gup Shup, PWC, Goldmann Sachs, and much much more. The highest package offered is 65 LPA while the lowest is 3.66 LPA. In JU EE approximately 95% of the students get placed(people who only sit for the placements). I am not sure about my plans after I get the degree I am yet to discover the path I will be in.

Placement in Jadavpur University is extremely good, it's well above some top NIT and some new IITs also. Most students convert their internship into PPO. Government companies such as GAIL, SAIL, BHEL, IOCL, etc also visit for campus placement but they require very high CGPA for their selection. Total 100+ companies visited campus in the 2020-2021 session and the highest package was 65 LPA which was grabbed by Electrical Engineering students in Atlassian. There was 90 percent placement with many students having more than 1 offer.

Likely in the 5th semester students start getting internship offers. There are so many reputed companies that visit every year of placements like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and many other tech giant companies and MNCs. Talking about placements like this year more than 8 students got a package of 45 lacs. there was an average of 8-9 lacs in the electrical branch. In my branch, around 85-90 percent of students get placed to various companies. My plans are basically going for a core job or preparing for the gate after my college degree.

Generally from 3rd year students are eligible for placement, I think, I am not that confident about it. But placements in Jadavpur University is tremendous which even compare IITs. There were more than 100 companies visited here. Some companies include AMAZON, MICROSOFT, GAIL, ONGC, etc. The average package of EE is Around 11 LPA. And highest is 43 LPA this year while previous year this was 65 LPA. Almost 90 percentage people get campus placement in our college. I have not decided what to do in future and am always eager to go into the research field or social worker field.
