Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.

Dislikes

We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Qualities of Nit Durgapur

Likes

The campus of NIT durgapur is quite good.
Placement offers by the college is good.
Faculties of NIT durgapur are supportive.

Dislikes

sports environment is not that good and it needs to be improved.
Some of the buildings are really old that need to be maintained.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario of NIT Durgapur is quite good. The average package offered last year was around 12 lpa. The average package of the CSE branch is around 21 LPA. so, this college provided a satisfactory package to the students. The highest package offered last year is 70LPA.

Placemets are quite hood on the campus nit Durgapur specially trains and encourages the students to sit for internships and placements. A student is eligible to sit for internships at the beginning of the third and placements from the beginning of the final year. A student can manage to get a PPO after completing the internship in the 3rd which is also encouraged by the student. The other criteria regarding placements and internships are quite well-defined on the NIT DGPS website.

Likes

college culture and bonding is one thing that is very memorable
The club culture helps bringing people with differences together into one family
The student body is also a plus point in our college

the academics is very hectic and the time for self development is very less
the criterion for 75 percent attendance is a huge con
Some professors can be very rude and traumatizing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a Mechanical engineering student at NIT Durgapur, I can talk about how the actual scenario of the curriculum, the course of mechanical engineering is quite good but of course, we are blessed with too many labs which becomes very hectic at times, also there is a mix of good and average professors, some are very approachable while others are born to give supply.

My college life

Likes

Ece professors are not strict except one or two .
Hostel floors are kept clean and there is a common room for any meeting.
In the sac there are different activities for sports activities so if u bored in one then u can play another.

Dislikes

No swimming pools are there in the campus.
Often in the college life there is a problem with drinking water it is not available.
There is always a rush in the mess and the mess food is so bad.

From 7 th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Samsung, Bajaj, JP Morgan, and Microsoft come to campus in campus. The highest package is 50 lpa and the average is 17 lpa in my branch. 88% of students placed in the campus ingredients. After getting the degree I will do a job.

Placements are very high .Good companies will give placements in our college like google microsoft , amazon and also flipkart. So tha we can get good packages than other colleges so i love this campus in this way of getting placements with highestpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my favorite course from 12 the class. Also for the package and placements 1:90 may be, Ph.D. and Mhc are the qualifications of the faculty. It's easy to pass the exams. But one should attend classes at least 75% to write the exam.

Faculty they are very friendly and help us with each of our problem
There is also very good sports facility and also free gym is available in our college

Much more convenient for faculties are needed
More shops more stationeries more food shops must be included inside the college campus

Placement each very much descent. Moreover computer science students got 87% placed and mechanical students got 82% electrical students got 85%, electronics God 87% placed and metallurgical got 90% and biotechnology got almost 80% placed

Very Good infrastructure of the college and good faculties

From 5th semester the students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Microsoft, JP Margan, Texas Instrumentation, Bajaj, Maruti Suzuki, tcs, Wipro, etc. come to our college for placement and about 89 % of students get placed in them. I don't want to reveal my plan

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur

Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
