Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.

Dislikes

We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Reality of nit durgapur

Likes

I liked the nature and the peace in the campus.
We have got some very friendly seniors.
The people here are really great u will have a good competition.

Dislikes

Some of the faculties are very strict so be careful.
The attendance policy is very strict and if u have below 75 percent it will be a problem.
Some seniors tend to do ragging and the smoking and alcohol is high.

Placement Experience:

From the 5 semesters you are eligible for internship and other things in the 7 semesters you will be having campus interviews. there are many companies that visit our campus like Microsoft, google, amazon, etc 80 percent of the students are placed. I would prefer to do a master's.

I enjoyed the 1st year of my college only.Truly speaking my department is very strict and the syllabus is also very big.
Dislike a lot of things like..there are not many shops in this campus
Infrastructure is not very advanced and developed u, but the High voltage lab is very good

Dislikes

No good shops in campus.The campus needs to be modernized
The ragging culture in this college is very less, but still professor s do not allow us to interact with juniors

Placement Experience:

There is quite a good opportunity for placement in this college. Even I myself had been admission to this college by checking the placement statistics. the average package this year is 11.6 LPA. And in all circuital branch near about all the companies allow.

Likes

Campus life is really great here and social life is great too.
The exposure given is actually priceless and worthy of stay here.
The campus placaements are great here as well.

Dislikes

The professors are at times way too strict.
The course structure isnt vwry great here.
Startup culture is nit recognized very much here.

Placement Experience:

The placement is pretty decent at the campus. The companies visiting include a wide range and even include some major companies like Amazon Microsoft Adobe Hindustan Petroleum and so on. The packages are a wide range. In 2023 the highest on-campus package was 65 lakhs per annum.

Campus life is really great for students here.
Campus placements are on a rise lately for the students.
Extra curricular activities have a lot of scope here.

Dislikes

The course structure is not really good here.
Hostel facilities and mess facilities are not good
Some professors have extreme strictness here.

Placement Experience:

Sem 7 onwards students are eligible for the on-campus placements. Some companies include Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Adobe, BNY Mellon, PWC, Delloite and so on. The placement rate is pretty high with the last year's placement percentage being 88 percent.

Campus life is great for the students here
Sports facilities are great here for students
Campus placements are great for students

Dislikes

The course structure is not very good here
Some professors are way too strict here.
The hostels and mess facilities are not that great

Placement Experience:

One becomes eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visit include Microsoft, Wells Fargo, John Deere, Tata Steel, Adobe, etc. The placement percentage in 2023 was 90 percent for metallurgy, 88 for ece, 86 for electrical, and 84 for cse. I personally would like to get into the core sector post-engineering.

Likes

I like to roam around in campus as it is very green
The library is the most loved place for me in campus

Dislikes

Some old buildings in campus which looks scary

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because my cutoff was low and according to that this is what I was getting I want to be admitted in a government college as the fees are low and its reputation and diverse faculties are many here and approx a hundred students are there in every department or maybe more than that

I actually very much like the lush green campus.
The second thing the senior were very helpful.
Faculty were highly qualified and teach the best thing out there.

Dislikes

Sports facilities were not that much good.
All eatable things were very costly in campus
Some faculties have their own ego problem.

Placement Experience:

So leading towards the main point of our campus, the placements, the placements records were quite impressive as there are many seniors who got placed in big companies like Microsoft, etc. Last year total of 184 companies visited our campus for placements. Normally if you want a good placement better if you start preparing from 3rd semester. The highest package offered per annum, average per annum. The total percentage of students who get placed is 89%. Actually, my plan after completing my degree is to achieve a good placement.

I liked my hostel facilities accept mess.
They are many trees in campus, trees of fruits also.

Dislikes

Food quality of the hostel is very bad, unbeatable.
Teachers are very unhelpful.they are very strict,don't help in study.

Placement Experience:

Placements are fine for our college. from the seventh semester students become eligible for campus placements. According to the data placement in our college is nearly 80% for top branches and less than 80 percentage for low branches. the biotech placement record is very low.

The amazing friends circle which supports you when you lost your cool.
The facilities of academic building which are good to go for better study.
The lush green campus to make you relax and cool.

Dislikes

The faculty member who takes things on there ego.
The bathroom and toilet of hostel are bad really really bad.
The man classes are not having air condition.

Placement Experience:

The meta branch of this college saw 95% placement and meta branch graduates also got a chance to take their hand to tech companies with good packages the highest placement is above 40 lac till now data has not been declared this is what we hear from other seniors and friends circle.
