- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

From the end of the 6th semester, the students will be eligible for campus placements. Many Reputed companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, and Texas Instruments are visiting the campus to provide placement opportunities And provide an average of 15LPA and the highest of 57LPA as per last year.

Placement Experience:
Students Will Be Eligible For Cmpus Placements From 6 Th Semester . But A Will Hire 6 Th Sem Students And Many Will Be Hired In 7Th And 8 Th Sem.Many Companies Such As Qualcom, Jp Morgan , Texas Instruments And So On Many Companies Will Visit The Campus. The Highest Pacakage Of The Last Year Was Nearly About 57Lpa On Campus.

- Sanitation, water facility, cleaniliness
- Availablity of food, and other things are nearby campus
- Ease of travelling as every think is in walkable distance
Dislikes
- Less care about students carrier by teachers
- Too displined and strict about class attendance
- Less scope to explore things on our own because of tight schedule
Placement Experience:
The placements of the college may not live upto the name of the college but they are decent and from trustworthy companies you cannot be worried about palcements if you follow the academics and maintain good pointer you will be placed.

- Nice faculty and good atmosphere having good culture.
- Nice infrastructure and good classroom experience
- Nice hostel accomodation and good rooms and nice collegues
Dislikes
- Worst quality of food and bad taste are getting in hostel
- Small area of ground and we didn't have requirements for playing
- Small library and some areas are not so clean
Course Curriculum Overview:
In national institute of technology Durgapur the computer science and technology branch is one the finest branch in our college and in this branch we have plenty of opportunities and jobs so I selected this branch.

placements are okay but should maintain an 8.5 cgpa constantly. mainly for cse students 95% rating of placements in nit Durgapur we can get an intern in the 5th semester and a placement in the 7th semester, so all the best for ur future.

- My roomates and our gang.Its really feel good with these people.
- The weather of nit Durgapur is really good.
- The classroom are very large and feels like we reached our destination for BTech
Dislikes
- Some of the facilities are lacking in girls hostel
- I think there should be better equipment in the class and labs.
- I do not think there are more than this i dislike in our college because I came here by my choice so I don't complain more.
Placement Experience:
Nit Durgapur provides space for many famous companies like Microsoft, Adobe, JP Morgan, etc.
The placement percentage for the computer science department is nearly 95 and also offers decent to good packages.
It also maintains an average package of 15lpa.

- Collection of books in library are good with proper wifi connection in library and hostels
- Games and sports can be opted according to the intrest
- If you want to learn something accept work and do it coding classes like recursion
Dislikes
- Library is used by couples which sometimes is distracting
- Food sometimes is not eatable and no late night canteens
- Less personal interaction with seniors related to coding environment
Placement Experience:
In our college, we can apply for the internship in the 5th semester. you need to have a good cgpa to get the internship. and in the 7th semester, you can sit in the campus placement. around 80 percent of the students get placed.

- This campus is advorable gyms in each hostel and swimming pool and everything
- The faculty is too good they can advise us everything for future
- Placement is too good and it's big grd to play

- It's tough in attendance if we can attend the cls they can give attendance default below 75%
- In nit durgapur the food is good but we are from South it's hard too eat
- In 1st year they can keep some rules and regulations and there is no permission for outside we can ask permission from senior
Placement Experience:
Placement is good and eligible for placement must the students get a 7 7cgpa they only eligible for placement there are many companies for core and as well as IT they can take rounds first exam then they can be shortlisted then after they can select and take interview the average package is 12 lakhs and highest package is 40 lakhs.

- NIT durgapur has well educated faculity.most of them are phd and master degree holders.
- Hostel facilities are good enough in nit durgapur.

- The campus is not so big so there is nothing much to explore.
- There are some smoking and alcoholic people in the campus.
- The seniors and juniors interaction is very less.

From 6th semester students become eligible for placements. TCS, Ninja, pwc, ICIC Bank, and Microsoft are top reputed companies that visited NIT Durgapur. 633 people were placed in 2023. The average package is 13LPA and the highest package is 70LPA. Nearly 85 percent of people got placed. I want to get campus placement.

- I like the infrastructure of the college.
- And I like the cultural fests and technical fests
- Also I like the food stalls and the canteens in our college.people are roaming and chitchatting in canteens during the breaks
Dislikes
- As I am from Andhra .I don't like the taste of the food
- They are very strict faculty in first year as we can see in electrical branch
- And we can also observe some traces of ragging

Many good companies like Google Microsoft Amazon visit our college. We are eligible in the 7 semesters for campus placement and in 5 semesters, we can apply for internship. The highest package is 60 lakhs which Microsoft provided.
Around 85 percent of students get placed.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
