Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.

Dislikes

We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements. More than 100 companies come and give jobs to most of the students. The highest is 70 lpa from Google and the package is approximately 20 lpa. 90 % of students.

I like professor most in our department.
I love our the campus and the greenery .
Placements which is very high i love the most

Dislikes

I doesnot like the 75 percent criteria fir attendance
We have less holidays in our collage then other collage.
Sudden raid in the hostel which i did not like the most.

Placement Experience:

Form 4th year we are eligible for the placement. Amazon, Microsoft, Tcs , Jp Morgan, L and T. Highest package of our collage is 780000 and the average package is 120000. 85 percent student placed. My plans is to get good package from campus.

NIT DGP at a glimpse.

Likes

Whole envioronment of the college is so good.
Library and overall academic is good and precise.
All the canteens are so good and price is low.

Dislikes

Some faculty of the college is rude sometimes.
College holidays are so so much low. We dont get enough holiday.
Academic pressure is high. Also attendence criteria so strict.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester students are allowed for internship. Most of the companies come for placement. Like Amazon, Microsoft, JPMorgan, Atlassian, Wells Fargo. The highest package is 72LPA. And the average is 12LPA. The percentage of students from my department is 84%. My plan after my degree is to do higher study.

The campus is very greenary and the campus is quite large to enjoy.
Some faculties are very supportive in nature
The library consists of various types of books available for knowledge

Dislikes

The academic pressure is quite high and you have to study quite hard
The attendance criteria is 75 percentage

From the seventh semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. Companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, ICICI Bank, pwc, TCS Ninja, etc. The highest package is 70 LPA and the average package is 12 LPA. 85 % of students get placed. I go for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I get by counselling as it is a NIT so no options. There are 40 faculty on my branch and each year contains 100 students All are well qualified like OST doc, and PhD from different universities across the world The teaching method is good In each sem, there are 25+15+60=100 marks per subject examination and the paper is very strict and tough. Difficult to pass the exam in a few subjects

NIT Durgapur is one of the best colleges in India

Good placement for of core branches other than others nit.
Campus full of greenery and natural beauty.
Good research facilities and facilities in higher studies .

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage of our college is quite good. This year we had around 85% placement. The core branches got good placement. The average package of cse is 21 lakh and the overall average package is 13 lakh.

The faculties are really very helpful and supportive
The campus provides many facilities and is very green

The mess food in the hostel are not so good
The labs are a bit old and they are not so modern

Placements in the college are pretty good. They provide Placement opportunities from 3rd year. Companies such as Microsoft, J.P Morgan, tcs, pwc, etc. visit our campus for placement. More than 80% of students get placed. My plan is to get a placement in one of the top MNCs after getting my degree

All the clubs are very interactive
The campus is big and it has 3 entrances

Sometimes i miss my home and feel left out and i dont like it

The course curriculum is very good. The teachers help us and clear our doubts we can learn all we can and some teachers are very friendly and understand our feelings. The term exams were good even though some of them were hard but ok

I like the greenery in the campus and the hostels.
There are two playing grounds ovals and lords.
There are 7 gates in the campus and the interesting thing is that they are in different directions .

Dislikes

There is a pond which is never maintained.
Some parts of the campus is like wildlife.
Lots of time is being taken for changing the old things that belongs from the time when the college was made.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur

Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
