I get swami vivekananda merit cum scholarship which is very helpful for me.
Placements the placement for computer science and technology department is really appreciable and since it is a college of national importance, some really highy package giving companies come for placements and take a good handful number of student.
Campus is very green and lovely. you would surely love the experience.

Dislikes

The hostel facility is horrible in our college we don't have many single seater rooms there were very limited which intern causes disputes among students and the food facility was also not good it's really very hard
Actually hostel facilities is not good in indian institute of enginnering science and technology the maintainnace is poor and my college is in west bengal, shibpur and for me i dont like bengal food as i am from andhra pradesh.
The hostels are a bit bad in condition. one has to face some problems regarding stay.

One of the best colleges in West bengal , really good environment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IIEST shipper we really impressed. around 80-90% of students get placed every year from the campus. Students can sit for campus placements from the start of the 4th year. The highest package offered was 40LPA, and the lowest package is offered from mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, etc. The average salary is about 7-8 LPA, and all the dream companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Samsung, visit our campus for placements.

Extraordinary like top 10 iits but excellent

Placement Experience:

From 7th to semester students are eligible for campus placement. approximately 175+ companies visit the campus along with 600-750 placements per year. Approximately 75-80% of students get placed. I will probably go for the UPSC exam after getting the degree.

IIEST Shibpur Review

Placement Experience:

The placement record of the college is 100%. the college placement committee is expert and well experienced and knows how to attract MNC. The placement committee will guide you and help you out during the placement. My only reason to join IIEST Shibpur was its placement record. The highest package for our batch went up to 26 LPA and the average package was 17 LPA only a few colleges in India provide such a great package. Companies like Microsoft, HSBC Technologies, Maruti, Infosys, Oracle are the companies that visit the campus during the placement drive.

Placement Experience:

College provides internship offers from third year with paid internships. Also, college provides on campus placement opportunities from fourth year. Many students get PPO. Big tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon Flipkart and Mercedes-Benz comes to give offers to students specially in the fourth year.

Placements stats is soo good in this college. more than 95% of students get placements every year. If you are skilled enough then you can apply for an internship from the 2nd year. Reputed companies like google, Microsoft, tcs, Infosys, Capgemini and many more companies come for placements and students got place on those companies. Highest pakage-56lpa Average package-15lpa

Placement Experience:

There are nice placements in our college. Especially there is almost 100% placement in CST and IT department. Other than this, the college also provides you the opportunity to be an entrepreneur. One can also try in dance, music, and sports as well, if interested.

Placement Experience:

I am from the computer science and technology branch(2021-25). talking about the placement percentage of the 2022 batch of my branch present scenario 69 out of 71 eligible students already get a placement at the beginning of the 7th semister. Still, almost 8-10 months are left for placement sessions. nows only 1-2 students left as per official data provided on their official FB page. on the basis of that, I can say that (97-98)% of students get placed. and as per my knowledge, this year is a 100% placement of CST branch(my branch). Higest Package:- 52.57 LPA(on-campus) (3 students from my branch and other students from IT, ETC branches too. Lowest Package:- 4LPA(only 2-3 students) (Remember placement is ongoing so they may get the high package in upcoming days as their peeps do) Average Package:- 17LPA (approx)(boom! it's amazing and record-breaking). Top Companies(on-campus):- Google(this year), Microsoft(9), Atlassian(4), Amazon(4), Samsung(21), Mercedes Benz(3), wells fargo(9), Deutsche bank(9) etc.

IIEST Shibpur- a college not only proud of its old heritage but continued academic excellence

Placement Experience:

Students from 6th semester onwards get placements. Some students also get earlier if they are already skilled.100+ companies visited the campus and around 420 offers were made. Highest package was 39 lakhs in CST from Microsoft IDC and 12 lakhs was highest in ME. Median package in CST was 17 lakhs while in ME, it was 7lakhs. 70% and above students are placed. I have an interest in research and innovation entrepreneurship.

A review of IIEST , Shibpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this course from my childhood, i want to become a worker of spaceX. Student to faculty ratio is around 25:1. Their faculty are very sharp-minded, cool, and friendly. There are all types of exams that can be held with his own board.

One of my friends is a final-year student at IIEST Shibpur. According to him, the placement last year has been great. Microsoft IDC (PPO), Mentor Graphics, CESC Ltd (PPO), Tata Steel (PPO), Bentley Systems completed their recruitment process on campus and hired more candidates than they did last year. Companies like Atlassian, Samsung R&D, and PwC are also expected to recruit on campus. A brief discussion about placements and other aspects of the institute are as follows.

Placements:

Pre-final year students got internship offers from various firms like Microsoft R&D, Deutsche Bank, Wells Fargo, and Texas Instruments this year. Other firms which will be having on-campus recruitment will most likely be hiring interns also. Hence, needless to mention that the placement scenario has continued its trend of improvement this year as well.
Students have been hired in companies like Microsoft IDC, Cognizant, Samsung R&D, Infosys, TCS Research and Innovation, Z. S. Associates, etc. from campus placements. Off-campus placements also include Google (Bangalore).
The median salary that has been offered is around 7 LPA and every one of the scholars participating in placements got placed. The placement cell improved and has become more proactive and efficient in training and placement of scholars.

Infrastructure:

All departments, libraries and hostels are Wi-Fi enabled with decent speeds. The Science and Technology Department features a 1Gigabit backbone network.
The rooms and labs are well maintained and have all the specified equipment. The central library is not extremely big but features a good assortment of useful titles. There are smaller departmental libraries also.
The hostels are decent and clean but might be improved. They need indoor game facilities also. A replacement hostel for women has just been built and features a far better review.
There are multiple canteens on Campus serving good quality food at reasonable rates and a CCD stall with significantly cheaper rates than usual.
Other amenities include Gymnasium, Sports fields, Court and Infirmary.

Faculty:

The college consists of highly qualified and knowledgeable teachers. They clear the doubts if consulted. Most teachers teach using both chalkboard and multimedia aids.
There are multiple teachers and other lab assistants to guide the students during the lab classes.
The course curriculum is aligned with most other national institutions and contains the essential topics necessary for the course.

The campus is lush green and located on the bank of the river Ganges. Right beside the institute is Botanical Gardens. Many events take place at the institute all year around. There are annual Techno-Management fest Instruo, Annual Cultural fests Rebecca and Anuranan, and departmental fests. Besides that, there are also sports events. Meritorious students can avail scholarships sponsored by the Alumni Association.
