Kazi Nazrul University Asansol Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

We are in the 3rd year and we are the first batch of B-Tech so we don't know about B-Tech placement. But our HOD, Director, TPO is trying their best to arrange good job opportunities and good internships. But the Diploma students of Metallurgical Engineering has got average 15000/month job. So we are also expecting something better for us.

Though we are the first batch of B-Tech we do not have any idea about B-tech placement Diploma has three pass out batches and they have got 14k to 15k average salary offered by the companies near Durgapur, Howrah division. So we are expecting to get a good placement because KNU is always competing with JU for the engineering division. I want a job after the 7th sem. If any one of our university authorities sees my review please provide us with good placement. The pass out of 2019 and 2020 of Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering are also getting offers still now from Training and Placement Cell to reach out company directly.

We are the first batch in B-Tech so we don't know what is waiting for us but seeing the salary offered for Diploma holders we expect something better. Diploma holders get a 15000/month average salary in west Bengal. For getting placement minimum of 75% attendance and 7.5 CGPA is mandatory. And some companies also require no backlog it is a difficult requirement for me. I want a job after completion of B-Tech, I will not going for M-Tech in recent 5-6 years.

We are the 1st batch so we actually don't know about B-Tech placement but Diploma candidates got a job average of 14000/month - 15000/month so comparing with it we expect to get a job at least 20,000/month. Let's see what is waiting for us. I will not accept any offer of Job I am writing the review for my friends but I will choose to complete M-Tech. If you want to get a job in placement so you have to maintain 75% attendance and a 7.5 CGPA minimum.

We are the first Batch in B-Tech but our TPO, HOD, Student Co-ordinator in Training and Placement Cell assured us that they will provide a good placement drive but we have to prepare for that. If we see the Diploma placements it is quite accepted that a Diploma Holder gets an offer of monthly 17000-18000/month minimum 14000/month in this present situation so expect something better not the bitter, let's see. I will not accept a job offer if it will be below 25000/month then I will choose to complete M-tech.

We are in the 1st batch of B-Tech so we have to wait for our 7th sem but the Diploma candidates get offers of 15000/month average and some offer more than that. In Diploma 85% students get placement. The criteria to get participate in the campus drive isto maintain 75% attendance and minimum 7.5 CGPA. Then department conduct PI and depending on the rank we get the chance to participate in placement drive. I wish i will get a offer of minimum 25000/month in west bengal.

Regarding placement i have to say that we are in 3rd year and in B-tech we are the 1st batch so we have no idea about placement but if we compare placement of Diploma candidates of Metallurgucal engineering & Mining engineering the companies offered them an average of 15000/month some of the recruiters offer 17000-18000/month and we hope we will get atleast 25k per month offer if we compare with present situation. My is to get a job of metallurgist in any steel industry near my home town asansol, ranigaunge, durgapur, dhanbad etc.

The B-Tech portion is new and we are the 1st batch so I don't have any knowledge about B-Tech placements but if we say the Diploma placements it is quite good, it is also new but the companies offer them 17000-18000 per month and it is a quite good salary for diploma candidates. So we are eagerly waiting for our placement drive. In diploma, students get placement in 6th sem but in B-tech it should be in 7th or 8th sem. The basic criteria are to maintain 75% attendance 7.5 CGPA that's it but getting a job depends on the candidate's quality. The maximum number of students get placements except for few ones. My plan is to get a job from here and continue it for at least 5 years then starting my own startup.

From the 7th sem students are getting placement interviews. the salary offered by companies for B-Tech are generally 22k to 25k per month and some companies offer more than that. If you have to get a job minimum of 75% marks are needed to participate in the placement drive. My plans after getting a job are to continue that job for at least 2 years and then change the company and starting M-Tech or MBA side by side with the job.

I am interested in accounts and I would like to do a job in a bank as an accountant, So I chose that course because it is the best option. The faculty and students ratio will great. The qualification of the faculty are somebody done doctored and also somebody has masters. Every six months semester-wise exam is held before the semester an internal exam will be held. It was quite difficult.
