IIM Jammu Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I was happy with the location, Jammu. All the main points are near to the campus, like malls, markets, shops, Railway station, and even Airport. You can avail everything by foot through campus. These were the main points of choosing this IIM beside the placement factor.

Placements are above average, the median and average salaries were 10 LPA and 11LPA. For summers the average stipend was 45000 rs. Most of the placements were in the marketing domain, followed by Finance and operations

IIM Jammu is the newest IIM of all but still it is doing wonders in each department. Placement wise the average package is around 10.5-11 lpa with some big brands being regular on the campus. Infrastructure wise it is one of the best in 3rd gen IIM. Decent facilities for every need of a student. Have off campus at Srinagar which is an incubation centre for local demos.

I got offers from new generation IIM's such as Sambalpur, Bodhgaya, Jammu. I have selected IIM Jammu for pursuing MBA in Marketing and Human Resource Management domains.The Campus placements were good, with the average package of about 9+ LPA which is decent for a new generation IIM.Faculty - Some good professors especially in Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Analytics domains. Jammu city was well connected with other metropolitan cities such as Delhi, Chandigarh, Srinagar, Mumbai, Hyderabad. The Temporary campus was small in size but has all the required amenities such as spacious Classrooms, Huge and well maintained garden area, well maintained Hostels separate for seniors and juniors. The Permanent Campus is being built in Nagrota, Jammu in 200 acres. The IIT Jammu campus is in 1 km radius of the permanent campus of IIM Jammu.

1st-year students are eligible for summer internship programs and next year they can sit for the final placement drive also. The highest package of 20 LPA offered this year. The average package is 10 LPA. 100% placement record.

Students need to have a Summer Internship Placement after the 1st year of their MBA and then final placements after the 2nd year of the course i.e. after completion of the course. And placements are decent here. We get top brands as well as start-ups offering high to low stipend and CTC.

I chose this college as I liked the campus because where it is located that is known as the heaven of India. As we know Jammu & Kashmir's climate is very awesome and the college is near to the city, the airport and they offer the best foreign exchange program that helps in studying abroad.

The students are eligible for placements from the 5th term. Various companies visit our campus every year for summer and final placements. The highest package was 16 lakh and the lowest of 7 lakh. 100% of students are placed every year.

Decent placement, Marketing based companies are more. Highest- 36 LPA. Lowest- 6 LPA. Brands- ICICI HCL Byjus Techvantage etc. 98% of students placed. My plans- getting into a brand management role or market research role.

Campus placements are great. Almost 100% of the students get placed. Companies like Diageo, Paytm, Kotak, HCL, Vedantu come for recruitment. Students give their best. There are Live Projects also for industry engagement.
