- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite

Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Extraordinary facilities and faculties. Best environment to learn new stuffs. The campus is one of the most beautiful in India with rich flora and fauna. Its ranked 7th among the IIT's and especially my department Biosciences and Bioengineering has some of the best professors from their field.

Research area matched with my guide, guide, guide is pioneer and top notch in the field of Earthquake Engineering, i love this field and crazy about structural engineering, this is the best department in IIT Guwahati as far as civil Engineering is concerned

Top 7 old IIT campus, having good hostel and mess facility. Campus is placed outside the Guwahati city . One of the beautiful campus in old IITs in India. Faculty, project staffs are helpful and having a great knowledge in their particular field.

Good aspects: 1. Closer to hometown 2. Conducive Research Environment 3.Similar exposure and facilities to other old IITs Bad aspects: 1. Lesser public perception due to not being oldest IITs along with the geographical location of the institute for people of other states of India except North East 2. Lesser departments and schools that facilitate maximum inter-departmental researchAdmission Process: GATE score for shortlisting for written test followed by a written test(syllabus of which is primarily of GATE syllabus of respective disciplines). Further shortlisting is done to call for a final interview based on the performance of the written test.Admission Schedule: Admission in PhD happens twice a year date of which can be seen on departmental/institute websites.

Placement Experience:
From 6th sem onwards student becomes eligible for placements.
many tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Flipkart, etc visit the campus every year for placements.
The highest packages is around 1.2crores and the average is 15lakhs/yr. Around 85% of students get placed.I am also going for software profile jobs.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is one of the 7 oldest and premier institutes of India.The campus of IIT GUWAHATI is also one of the most beautiful campuses in India. Situated on the banks of river Brahmaputra and with all the scenic beauty attracts many students. Apart from it's Beauty it has excellent teachers.

Vicinity to my state, its culture, the beauty of thr college impressed me the most and most of all the river and natural scenery. I took this college mainly because of the branch i got selected to, and also the educational value it got. The profs are excellent and they teach you so great things about your course.

Good Aspects and Reasons I preffered it over colledge and branch: 1) IITG is one of the top 7 IIT's in India. 2) Great Professors. 3) Great Course Curriculum. 4) Placements Statistics are really good. 5) One of the beautiful campus in India.Bad Aspects: NoneAdmission Process: Admission is based on the JEE Advanced Rank, After you are selected for enrollment, it is a one day process. 1) You have to present all the details and certificates (bring the original copies of each certificate, will not be submitted but they require it to cross check) in front of the registrar.2) You will then be required to get yourself clicked for the (Recent photograph) ID and Medical book purposes.3) After that you can simply submit the fees for the first semester, options available are - directly through bank, UPI, Cards, etc.4) You will then instantly be registered, expect to recieve the ID card and other required documents within a week.
