- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Remarks:
Placements of this college were at par with other Old IITs which helped me choose this college over other colleges. The campus is also beautiful and is spread over 750 acres with all the facilities like cricket ground, gym, swimming, food court and weather is also awesome.

IIT Guwahati is one of the renowned Indian Institute of Technologies over the world. It ranks 07 in NIRF overall as well as Engineering category in India and at the same time it comes under 500 Top Universities around the world according to QS world University ranking 2021. The research output of the IIT Guwahati is phenomenal and it is reflected through the Nature Index of 2020. IIT Guwahati has one of the most beautiful and serene campus in India. Located amidst the hills and multiple natural lakes, it is a splendid pleasure to be here. So the admission process varies for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies. Undergraduate admission are done on the basis of JEE Advanced whereas postgraduate admission is done on the basis of GATE exam. The process of counselling and admission is way simpler than anybody can imagine. You just have to excel in the GATE exam, register yourself at COAP portal which is centralised portal for all IITs and then apply to the program you wishes to. GATE exam gets completed by Feb of every year, and the process of admission gets completed within June of every year. Keep checking the webpage of the institute.

Placement started in the second last semester and people start preparing one semester before placement began. So on the first day, only more than 50 companies will come and you will get placed if you do enough practice

It has the most beautiful campus among all IIT,s. Apart from this there are many opportunities for travel and explore beautiful northeast. There's nothing bad about this campus and college. Admission starts around April to June after GATE result. Official website is www.iitg.ac.in.

The number of companies visiting is close to 250. The companies include Amazon, Google, IBM, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, etc.
The highest package received is 1.5 cr per annum by Microsoft.
Some students take up master's courses after graduation.

After the 4th sem, the students are eligible for campus placements. Placements are very good and many topmost companies like Google Amazon comes to our campus every year. Google Facebook Amazon and other 271 companies visit our campus almost every year. Almost 90% of students are placed on our campus. The highest salary was 70 lac and the average is 11-12 lacs. My plan is to get a job after getting the degree.

About placement, the placement rate is good about 85-90percent per year. The average salary offered is 15-20lakh. And the highest salary range is about 45-50 Lakh. This year it is 1.5crode .more than 200 companies resister. Some of the international companies also. like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Google and many more
