- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
- Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.
- Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.
Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Placement Experience:
From the first semister itself you will be eligible for the internships but the internship opportunities are very less, very less companies have visited for internships
For the Campus placement in the second year very good number of reputed companies like bajaj, TVS, mercedes, TATA, Jindal , GE etc have come with good packages
Highest in core campanies will be around 16 LPA and average will be around 10 LPA
90 percent of the candidates will be placed generally

The course interm of research is having great aporchunity and the professor try to ask the question in exam like application in real world. If you want to pursue PhD outside so professor help them for LOR and try to publish paper also.

- Faculty's are very supportive and quality education is given
- Extracurricular activities in all domain with the clubs there is also a student bodies for any dispute happing to students
Placement Experience:
For btech students they get eligible for placement in 7 semester for mtech 3 semester
I was shortlisted in 3 company SCA technologies, IOD solution and raspa pharma. I got offer from IOG solution.
Highest package domestic was 1cr and international was 2.4 cr for this placement 2023-24 season.
Till. This time 70% of the students got placed. Out of 1200 students.
My plans is to join the job.

The placements are spot on in iits. We have lot of companies visiting campus like Google, Microsoft ,Facebook,juniper. On an average we get package of 15 lakhs to 1 crore. My college is a good platform for many students

- The type of club, there are many club to join and learn.
- Pier Competition everyone here is there to do go in there life.

- Over competition is there due to which me and other got stress.
- Negligence toward many things in the compus.
- The hostel management committee and there are there to earn for self.
Placement Experience:
For placement we had to pass fourty year that means eight semester.
In our campus companies like microsoft, google, goldman sacs and many other come to hier students.
Highest packagw in campus is four crores and average package is fifty lakhs.
About eighty percent of student got placed and live happy life.
My plabe after degree is getting job in good company where i grow and learn.

Placement Experience:
The students in semester 7 for 4 year courses are eligible for campus placements. There were 900 offers made in the first phase of campus placements with 90% students being placed. The highest package offer made was 2.5 Crores on campus, where as for off campus it was 4Crores. The average package is around 30-35Lakh where as the median varies department wise with the average being 19-20LPA. Some of the companies that visited , Google, Microsoft, Mc Kinsey, Goldman Sachs, Master Card etc

The curriculum is designed to be in favour of students. The course allows flexibility to acess interdisciplinary courses. The difficulty level of this course can vary from medium to hard, depending on some of the subjects.

- The academic core complex gives a very good vibe of collage life

- Acadimics in iit Guwahati is not flexible at all
Placement Experience:
The campus offers placements in vast feilds and you can apply for on campus internship from second year or third year.If your performance is good you might get a ppo from that company . around 10 offers are 1cr+.

in this course we have multiple exams throughout the semester i.e wuizzes midsems and endsems and some class activites and scores in this exams and activites conclude your final grade in that particular course

- College curriculum is tough and the grading is relatively tough in comparison to other iits.
- College has restrictions like in time and out time except from main gate.
- Student body which is Student Gymkhana Council is very weak.
Placement Experience:
Placements are good in IIT Guwahati. So students entering in 7th semester in Btech sit for the placement in which technical round or test start from sept to october and companies starts visiting from starting of the December. To sit in the placements students should not have any active backlog and CPI above 5. Total no. of comapanies visited were 246 which includes Google, Goldman, Microsoft etc. and no. of offers were made 1112 .Total no. of registered students placed were 83% with the highest international package was 2.4 cr and highest domestic was 1.2 cr with the average placement of 25.75 lpa and median of 21.63 lpa.
