- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
- Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.
- Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.
Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

- Beautiful and large lush green campus, one of the most beautiful campus among IITs
- Cultural festival, technical festival, sports festival.

- Class timings, usually classes starts at 8 in the morning.
- Hostel food, specifically lunch is very bad.
- Student body of our college is not strong enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I was interested in electronics before joining the college.
Apart from the college academics college teaches you time management and develops some social skills and provides you good jobs.
I think the course curriculum and teaching methods are good enough.
Exams happen every month and their difficulty is moderate to difficult.

- It has high placement percentage (80%).If you study here it is likely to get a good placement.
- The campus of this college is soo big and very beautiful.
- Along with academics there are many fest and events held here.
Dislikes
- The worst thing i found in this college is the mess food
- The hostel rooms are very congested .In one rooms only one table can have for two people.
Course Curriculum Overview:
In Mathematics and computing departments,there are two or three courses of maths every semester .Some fundamental and finances are taught during second and third years.All the courses are same with the students of computer science departments.

- Hostel environment is quite good, you get to connect with seniors and friends.
- Clubs are good ,you can learn a lot from there.
- The fests are worth enjoying especially alcheringa.
Dislikes
- Peer pressure is too much, many friends are toxic.
- Some clubs are like recruitment happens only if you know the seniors.
- Girls are way to toxic, they only come into relationship only for their benefit.
Placement Experience:
Placements generally occur in the month of december in the end 7th semester. Stats wise placement is quite good with almost more than 90% students gettibg placed, on and off campus. But in recent years as of 2023 , there is a decline in placement stats.

- The beauty of the campus is one the best things this place has to offer.
- Connectivity with railway station and airport
- Various sports facilities provided by the campus

- Weather is unpredictable around the year
- No personal vechile is allowed inside the campus
- The students are not allowed to leave the campus after 10pm
Placement Experience:
The students become eligible for placements in the 7 semesters. Various big companies visit like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Blackrock, etc. Institute has the highest package of 2cr and an average package of 10 lacs. The placements percentage is around 90%.

Course Curriculum Overview:
In the Electronics and communications department,there are two or three courses in electrical every semester.Some Fundamental of finance are also taught during the second and the third years.And all the other courses are same with students of electronics and electrical engineering.so after graduation,you can pursue electrical for higher studies or get into an IT job.Classes are held for 3-4 hours a day if there is any lab it will be 3 hours. Since most of the students in the courses are top rankere at JEE there is tough competition for grades otherwise the courses offered are interesting,if you love electrical otherwise it is not suggested to take this course.i would rate this course 6 out of 10

- campus is too beautiful and full of nature. Campus life is incredible.
- The faculty here are full of knowledge and no doubt, they are among the best professor of the nation.
- The course is quite hectic and challenging. The placement package is quite good.
Dislikes
- The course is quite hectic and we usually don't get time for other activities.
- Lots of competition whether acads or sports or cultural activities.
- Lots of assignments and weekly quizzes in college
Placement Experience:
Campus placement starts from the 7th semester and continues of the whole year.
There are lots of top MNC companies coming to the college like amazon, oracle, google,microsoft, jp morgan and many more.
Highest placement is around 2 crore per annum and the average salary of the CSE department is around 32lpa.
The percentage of student placed in CSE department is more than 90%.
My plans after getting a degree is to start my own animation studio.

Dislikes
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. Balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.
- The academic schedule often limits socializing time on campus. Despite the variety of social opportunities on campus, the demanding academic schedule often leaves students with limited time for socializing.
- Campus placements are very stressful for students due to tough competition and worries about future careers though the college offers support and resources to help students prepare for interviews and job opportunities.
Placement Experience:
From 4th year students become eligible for the placements . Companies visit in Campus and takes the students they are interested in. Some of the prominent companies that visit our campus for placements include Quadeye, Aplhagrep, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Adobe, Flipkart, Intel, Qualcomm, and many more. The highest indian package offered during IIT Guwahati placements was Rs 1.20 crore per annum and the highest international package was Rs 2.40 crore per annum .The overall placement rate was 78.04%. Out of 1425 registered students, 1112 were placed successfully. After getting degree i wish to go for a Quant based based company following my pasion.

At IIT Guwahati, campus placements begin in the fourth year, with internships available from the third year. Top companies like Google, JP Morgan Chase, Microsoft, and others visit the campus. The highest package for a CSE student was 2.4 crore, while for Mechanical, it's around 60 lakh with an average of 20 lakh. The overall placement rate for 2022-23 was 78.04%, with 246 companies participating. After graduation, I aim to secure a software developer role in a reputed company.
