- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Campus placements at my college, IIT Guwahati, commence from the 7th semester, opening doors to top-notch companies like Microsoft, Google, Rubrik, Sprinklr, BCG, Quadeye, and Deshaw. The average package across all disciplines stands at 25 lakhs, while for CSE, it soars to an impressive 32 lakhs. The highest packages are remarkable, and around 90% of students secure placements. As for me, I aspire for a fulfilling career in the tech industry, leveraging my degree to pursue opportunities aligned with my interests and skills.

- The college is situated in guwahati at banks river brahmaputra and surrounded by hills. It is very beutiful.
- College is research oriented. So good for students willing to pursue higher studies
- Placement is good in college. So do not have to worry about future.
Dislikes
- College is away from guwahati city so travelling is difficult
- Food is average and costly also. There is not much variety
- Academics is hectic. From 8 am to 5 pm you have to be in classes and labs
Placement Experience:
There are lot of employment and internships opportunities in college. Average placement package is 25 lakhs. Lot of companies like jpmc google microsoft deshaw etc. Top branches like cse dsai mnc have almost 90 percent and other branches placement varies from 60 70 percent

- Class room and Lab facilities are really good.
- Very beautifull campus. Whenever you feel stressed you can roam around your campus and relax.
- I liked the library. Its really huge and very comfortable to study there with all the books and facilites.
Dislikes
- Mess food is horrible. You need to pay 18,000 per semester for this terrible mess food.
- Rooms are congested. You can get single room from 3 third year onward only.
- You can't play games on the college WiFi. Atleast they should have given some time limit to play.
Placement Experience:
IIT guwahati has 80 persent placement record each year with avg package of 18 lakh. Last year a student got an international offer of 2.4 cr. Companies like amazon, google ,microsoft,golman sach and many more comes to pick inter and also for place ment. With most number of stundent placed in microsoft(28 placed).
Campus interships opportunities are open for third year UG students and students can sit for placement interview at there fourth year.Some people are also offered PPO during there internship.

- It has high placement percentage (80%). If you study here it is very likely that you get a good placement.
- Many facilities are also very good here. You have GYM, Swimming pool, Ground and courts for games and sports.
- Along with academics there are many fest and event where you can find happiness.
Dislikes
- The worst thing that i found in the campus is mess food.
- In some of the hostels rooms are very congested. You can have only one table for two people.
Placement Experience:
IIT Guwahati has a very good record of on-campus placement. 81 percent of students were placed in the year 2023. Some of the companies that visited the campus are Oracle(25 placed), Microsoft(28 placed), Google(10 placed), Goldman Sach(9 paced), and Barclay(6 placed). The highest package offered was 2.4 cr with an average of 16 lakh. Student sit for placement interviews in their fourth year.

- i dont like the instrastructure of iit guwahati because buildings are old
- inside campus foods are very costly in canteens.

Course Curriculum Overview:
in first semester all students have same course like maths, chemestry , physics, biology and engineering drawing and some labs of physics and electrical and chemistry . from 2nd year onwards in cse banch we have many courses like data science , data mangement , programming languages, AI, machine learning etc. this all coures help in placements and internship. professor are very helping in nature . exam are conducted in every 1 month . and it is much difficult as jee advance

- Our campus is full green, it's has 3 lakes.
- Campus connectivity is really great as it is few kilometres away from airport and railway station
- Campus provides various opportunities for students especially for those who wanted to excel in sports

Our college provides excellent placement opportunities for the students, according to 2023 placement statistics totally 86% students are placed in which highest international package around 2.4 crore per annum and highest domestic package around 1.2 crore per annum, various companies like Google, Microsoft ,tata etc. comes for placements

Students Who are in their 8th semester are eligible for campus placements.
There are many companies that visit during placements like accenture, microsoft, google, tata consutancy,adobe etc.
In our CSE department average package is around 36 l.p.a
and highest package is around 2 crore p.a.

Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for campus placements in 4th year. Internship placements are offered in 3rd year. Companies that visited our college are Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Bajaj and variously other companies, you can find the details on official website of IIT Guhwati. In our course that is mathematics and computing, 96 percent of students are placed. Highest package offered in our campus was 1 crore and average package is 30000. My plans after my degree is to do higher studies.

Placement Experience:
The campus offers placements in vast fields, and you can apply for on campus interships from 2nd or 3rd year and if your performance is good then there's a good chance that you may get PPO offer from that company.
And companies like Google, JP Morgan, Goldmann Sachs, Apple, Microsoft etc. came for campus placement and make quite good offers and more than 5-8 offers are 1cr+, 15-20 offers are 50L+ etc.
