- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
- Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.
- Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.
Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

- I don't like the busy curriculum of our campus
- I don't like some old courses that they teaches to is which will not useful.
- I don't like that in single occupancy room there's are two people live in hostel.
Placement Experience:
In 7th semester of BTech there's a placement cell activated and all the campus students of this semester can apply for placement and get their jobs in their respected fields . There's almost all companies are came to our campus around 350 companies.we have 85 % of registered candidates are selected in placements. After degree these is a few will select higher studies.

- Good infrastructure and beautiful campus
- Many clubs and fest happening throughout the year
- The group of students are really well talented forcing you to improve as well
Dislikes
- The mess food and availability of good quality of food is really bad
- The hostel is also not that good, as they are very old and not well maintained
- The courses are quite old and not have changed from over years
Placement Experience:
The placements stats are good, obviously because it's an IIT, but it still depends on the market and your personal skill. We are also offered internships in the 3 Rd year. The placements are also little branch dependent, like the case students obviously get more package than the other branch students

- You cannot find tasty vegetarian food here
- It is in outarea of the main guwahati city
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is quite good and very relatable regarding the real world .
The professors are highly qualified in their fields .
We also have laboratories to get the hang of every concept.
There are generally two quizes , one midsem and one end sem in each semester

- The competition is too much.Sometimes it is too burden
- The campus location being in north east causing it to have less exposure
- being among brightest in India is a little stressful

Well according to me I'll rate it somewhere between 8 and 9.
The faculty here I got is one of the most prominent faculty u can get in India.
The course is not that tough in the first year but as time goes it hardens

- Placement : the placement days are the time it's like do and die
- Mental Pressure. : so much competition
- There is no more thing but I miss my home

- Environment, college campus, transportation facilities offered, by college, availability of electricity almost 24hrs, availability of washing machine and geyser, clean toilet and bathroom
- Dedicated library, stationary shop, juice center and canteen in every hostel, mess facility, cleaning service, complaint portal for repair, LAN availability in every room.
- Availability of almost everything within the campus, food court, Khokha Market which is near the hostel, medical facility.
Dislikes
- lack of space in cycle parking, unavailability of water dispenser near room.
- Rushed classes, Lack of guidance from professors in case of project,
Placement Experience:
My insights will be focussed on M.Tech
A mtech student becomes eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester, as for btech i think its 9th semester.
I can't enlist all of the companies that visited so I will provide a brief list mentioning the sectors of the companies.
1. L&T, Dar Al Handasah, Spectrum, ASEC.(Structural Consultancy)
2. Reliance, Bank of America, Volvo Eicher, Star Cement. (Management)
3. TATA 1mg, Google, Microsoft, Databricks. (IT)
4. Narayana, FITJEE, Pace, PW (Education)

- The student body representative is not very active.
- The campus is very far from main city which causes many difficulties in our daily life.
- The curriculum and course activities are very tough.
Placement Experience:
Campus provides placements in diverse fields,offering on-campus internship from 2nd or 3rd year. High performance may lead to Pre-Placement Offer(PPO). Renowned companies like Google, JP Morgan, Goldmann Sachs, Apple and microsoft visit with several offers exceeding 1 crore and others ranging from 50 lakh to 1 crore.

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has been providing 100% of placements for the past few years, but this year it has just been decent but better than other institutions. Various good companies like google microsoft and Qualcomm visited our campus
