NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The college overall is a nice place to spend 4 years of your life. You'll take back a lot of memories and a job, I don't think anyone needs anything more than that. The only negative point I can think of is the location, it's pretty remote. But it hardly matters after a point.

Positive remarks of the school would be a healthy environment for the students to learn and grow both academically and socially. A negative remark would be the remote location of the college. However this hasn't stopped the college from attaining new heights shattering expectations and earning better positions every year.

The placement statitics for MBA and M Tech are not that good considering the effort they go through. There is shortage of good playing grounds or the maintenance of the said playing grounds or student activity centre.

All in all, I love my college. It has everything I would need to go forward in my life. The seniors guide us well for us to know what to do next. The infrastructure provided by the college is always there to help us with our studies. The only issue I would say is the location of our college. Since it's in a town in Assam, few companies never come here for recruitment, if they would've then NIT Silchar would've been one of the most highest package placement college in India.

NIT Silchar is a descent and good college for pursuing BTech and fullfil dreams of becoming engineer. As it is situated in outskirts of a small city of assam that is silchar, where the weather is moderate throughout the year.

Everything is good in college except faculty members. There is no place for outing and fun outside the campus ie there is no good club or mall outside the campus. You may face language problems in this college

Our college is one of the oldest college in this region it was established in 1967 under the name Regional College of engineering amd it was upgraded to National Institute of Technology in 2002 overall it is good and you can also get pretty ggod food and people also environment and many beautiful lakes etc you will get energetic environment also our college offers other course in higher education like M tech, phd, mba etc.

For CSE it's the best college as it has 100 percent placement rate but it's in North east but we have airline facility college is located in small town but don't have to worry about it every thing you need can be find in the college it self.

Positive Remark- Though the college is located in a remote area, it is gradually developing the whole Silchar city. The college is helping in Digital marketing by using apps like Google Pay, Phone Pe and Paytm.

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.
