NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements are good. According to previous track records, Nit Silchar students also got the job in NHAI, GOLDMAN SACHS, and many known companies. In fact in my department ECE the highest package this year is 26 LPA. The placement process is just like any other job exams: First is the written exam Followed by the PI round.

NIT Silchar is a college of national importance. The facilities, teachers and academic system are well collaborated in such type of colleges. People usually ignore this college because of distance. But in terms of achievement and teaching facilities one can never be dissatisfied. In recent years the average package of all the branches have improved a lot. College has good reputation in exams like GATE and ESE. Seniors are very cool and helping. So if one is looking for a safer future then NIT Silchar is a good place to start.

Mechanical Engineering of this institute is reputed. Also, the campus is large and greenery everywhere, so a lot of peaceful environment. Facility wise also, it has a large support from the faculty members and senior members.

The college management is good they provide you with many facilities like there is a college bus which goes to the town every evening as the campus is far from town. There is a hospital in college itself with 24 hour available doctor. The campus is very large, with may places to walk around, there are beautiful lakes.

The management works along with the students to ensure a smooth operation of all aspects of the college. While sometimes the decisions end up infuriating for the students, in the end the management tries to put it's best effort.

I love my college. I'm not saying it is the perfect one. It has it's own flaws and fallacies but inspite of all that I love my college. The college administration is a little naive and stubborn and the complaints take a lot of time to get settled. But in the end they do get solved.

NIT Just have their own reputation to bring excellence. Engineering was may passion so i opted for this institute. The institute has it's own Website to check out the dates.Students are admitted for the undergraduate courses thourough the JEE-Main conducted by National Testing Agency [NTA]. Admission to the M.Tech and PhD courses are primarily based on scores in the GATE exam, conducted by the IITs. Faculty from other institutes work as research scholars under Quality Improvement Program (QIP)

The management is well experienced. They handle every crisis properly and take proper decisions.

NIT SILCHAR is one of the technological institutes of national importance established in the year 1950, one of the core learning centre for sciences and technology in north east, gaining spectacular growth in last few years it has secured 10th place out of 31 colleges, having the Asia's largest digital library, your life circle of 7 lives would not be enough to compete all the books, the lush green environment and its location on southern side of kashi hills makes it a magnetic centre for knowledge thus lives. The patron of education and the spice of knowledgeable people from across the country under a 695 acres of land compressing of more than 5000 students is all I can describe my college, words fall short apart. Negative remark as such is its isolation from ROI it takes almost 1½ day to reach West Bengal from Silchar, road connectivity is less and even the climate is unpredictable here the funniest part is I have experienced all 3 seasons in a single day, morning it was raining at afternoon it was sunny and night I was chilled out

Poor food facilities,bad hostel facilities, good academics, bus facility is good, poor infrastructure, nice classroom, good sports, biggest library but not much useful, more mosquitoes in the room, nice timings
