PEC Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The college has a High Rank, excellent reputation and is located in a Good City with a high exposure. Its close proximity to home also was a factor for me. I got in using the Direct Admission for Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme. PEC also has a 100% placement record for CSE students, with a high average CTC.

Students are eligible for internships in the 5th semester and placements in the 7th Semester. More than 100 companies visit the campus every year and more than 500 offers are given. The highest package offered was 20 Lakhs per annum and the average package is 6 Lakhs per annum and profiles offered are Software, Analyst, Sales, Operations. 80-90% of students who sit for placements are offered atleast 1 offer on-campus. My plans are to work in the company offered as a full-time Employee.

Students were eligble for campus placements during their 7th semester. Some of the companies visited the campus are Microsoft, Amazon, Uber, Collegedunia, Maruti, Groww, etc. Highest package: Microsoft (Rs. 42 lpa), Average package (Rs. 8 lpa) 60% of the total eligble students got placed in Production and IE branch. Currently, work for some time in a reputable firm and then might think of higher studies.

Students are eligible for placements from 7th semester. Microsoft, Amazon, ZS, JP Morgan etc. Highest package was about 40 LPA in CSE Branch. Average package is high in Circuital Branches and low in Non-circuital branches. Almost all the students who want placement get some offer.

Students are eligible for their placements from the 7th semester. A number of companies visited the campus for various roles such as Consulting, software developer, core engineering roles, analyst and others. Highest package was offered by microsoft of 42LPA and the average is around 7LPA. Around 50% students get placed. Plans after getting the degree are likely to gain a few years of work experience and then go for a masters degree.

5th semester, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Salesforce, Deloitte, Adobe, De Shaw, total offers made-432. Highest-60 Lacs, average package-8 lacs, percentage of students getting placed-82%, plans after getting degree-job.

There are very less to no companies coming for placements for aerospace branch in the core field. Althogh, a considerable no of companies come for placements for non core jobs. There's a six months internship policy for students in the 6th semester in which the students can opt for corporate jobs or for research interns. Getting a research intern out of india is quite easy for the students of this branch. Many established companies like Mckinsey, JP Morgan, Microsoft, American Express, Golman Sachs, Amazon come for both internship and placements opportunities. The Average package for aerospace branch is 6LPA. 1/3 students get paced on an average of this branch.

In 3rd year (5th semester), the Internship cycle at PEC begins and goes on throughout the semester and in the next semester i.e. 6th semester, students are sent to their respective companies for their approx. 6 months of training. Placements at PEC begin in 4th year (7th semester) and it goes on for a complete year. A few of the many companies that visits are Microsoft (42Lac CTC), Amazon, JP Morgan, Mckinsey, Bain and many more. For mechanical engineers and similar fields, there are ITC, Maruti Suzuki, JCB, L&T, Hero, and many more. Students at PEC opt for higher education abroad also, which makes the alumni base more diverse.

Students have the 6th sem as an internship semester. Some students get PPOs and the rest students can apply for placement in their 7th and 8th sem. A lot of companies come for campus placements with good packages and almost all students get placed and some apply for abroad study.

The students are eligible for campus placements from semester 7. Various companies like Microsoft and PhonePay visit for the circuital branches and companies like Maruti Suzuki, Exxon mobile for core Mechanical students and other companies like McKinsey, Collegedunia, etc for the non-core students. The average package was 7.5 lpa and the highest one offered was upwards of 40 LPA. At least 90% of students are placed among those who apply for placements.
