I'd also like to remind you that scholarship opportunities are available to help ease the financial burden.
Some of the profs are really very great as they encourage us to think outside of the box.
Campus is good, friends are good, clubs and societies are good and the fest is good

Dislikes

The number of shops are very less in the college campus, which is very bad.
This year 2023-2024 , the placement stats has dropped due to recession all among the world leading to less hiring opportunities for freshers.
Professor are very strict here in academics and academic is also very hard.

Is it worth it ? - A student from IIIT Allahabad.

Placements are really good here and can also be verified online with various website. This is the driving reason for most of the students
The quality and qualifications of the faculties provided by the college is really good and are very focused towards their field
Campus life here is good enough for a person. The student can explore greater opportunities when arrived at the college. Sports facilities are limited but ok.

Dislikes

Sports facilities here are very limited. There is a single swimming pool and the rest is i would say okayish type. Rest you can explore through web.
Attendance policy that is maintaining a constant attendance greater than seventy five is needed to sit in the endsem. If note then you will have course drop
I would say there is nothing left to say about the college. I have discussed the other things i disliked in the above two points.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility: students are eligible for placements from 7th semester or we can say in the starting of the 4th year. Companies visited: you can view the whole list easily on the web and can be easily analysed.no of companies is around 250. Highest and average package: for the previous year the highest package offered was 1.4cr and average package was around 31lpa. Percentage placed : previous year the percentage placed was around 98. Further plans: my plan is to grab good placement and aim for higher rank in the company.

Placement Experience:

Placements here are good enough. The average package for IT reached 36 lacks here in 2023. It's pretty good. The number of students placed is also good. All kinds of companies come here like FAANG and many more

IIIT allahabad - best college for engineering and far better than newer iits and all nits

Placement- here placement is far better than newer iits and older nits
Faculty- here faculties are highly educated
Infrastructure- infrastructure of this college is very beautiful

Campus life- it can be more better here....here extra curricular activities have to be promoted more

From 3rd year students starts getting internships( some gets it from 1st or 2nd year here and from 4th year placement starts Here companies like sprinkler, Microsoft, etc visits and placement is here 98-99% done Here highest package is above 1 crore And average package is 35 lakh per annum Here more than 98 percent students gets placed due to its coding culture I will take placement after getting degree from college and will do my job after

Placement here is best and it gives a big platform to show ourself.
The curriculum here is also well designed as per the needs of a software engineer, the campus life is quiet well.

Dislikes

The campus is too short and the neighbouring area is not safe to travel at nights.

Students are targeting placements here from the first day of college and the experience says that it has a 100% placement record. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Deshaw, Zomato, Atlassian, etc. The highest package is 1cr and the average package is 30lpa. I plan to do a stable job after completing the degree.

People here is very good and very friendly.
Placements is very good in here so I like this too.

Dislikes

Campus is quite small so this is something which I kind of don't like
lab requirement is till 2 A.M which I dont like it must be available for 24 hours

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the ECE course in IIITA because my rank was not too good to get another course. The faculty-student ratio is 1:30 which is not so good.All the faculty is well qualified from prestigious colleges in the country. In terms of exam, we Component 1, Component 2, and Component 3 i.e., C1, C2, C3 in which C1 is for 30%, C2 is for 30% and C2 is for 40%. The exam is in between moderate to tough range.

Decent College for Some but not for everyone.

Likes

Campus is peaceful and the student-faculty and junior-senior relations6are quite healthy and encouraging.

Dislikes

Campus culture overly leaning to CS field.
Lack of proper culture of Electronics oriented activities
Lack of innovation and entrepreneurial culture

The institute is famous for its near 100%placement records every year with decent packages for students with undergrad and Postgrad qualifications. All the industry leading companies come to the institute for hiring

It is very good college to shape your career but also you must be hard working.

Likes

Good Placements of our college and support from the college for it
Good infrastructure and condition of hostels
Advanced curriculum and good faculties and seniors

Dislikes

75% attendance as mandated by some professors
Relatively small campus area with just 100 acres
No fee exemption for economically backward students

Placement Experience:

The first and foremost thing that anyone would see about this college is the placements only and I would say it is as genuine in the real as in the online websites. Placements here are of top-notch. Every top company including Google, Sprinklr, Atlassian, DeShaw, Goldman Sachs, Apple, etc visits here every year for internships and placements. Here you will have the opportunity for 2-month internships also, though its numbers are not as high. But all the students here will get placed as in the recession also, our seniors are getting places with good packages. For previous batches, our average was 30lpa, but I think it will go down this year due to recession.

First has to be the placement and packages
second has to be the coding environment there
lastly the girls to boys ratio is very good

Dislikes

Firstly very hectic schedule even during placement
secondly no time for other activities and games
lastly politics is very high regarding students

Best of the best placemnet . best you could imagine 100 percentile placed noone unpaced . Avergae pakage of around 30 lapkhs per annum. My plan is to get a high paying job and continue to work over there and go abroad

Engaging life of IIIT students everyday
Average placement of the college is very good
Seniors are very helpful and they give great advice.

Infrastructure of the college is not great
College life is very hectic to manage with continuous evaluation.
College is located on the outskirts of allahabad

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have continuous evaluation programme here. Our college does not believe in mid sem - end sem programme. SO, our semesters are divided into 3 components with weightage comprising of 30,30 and 40 percentage. Each components has its own viva,lab,quiz and review tests. Faculties are very helpful if you need their guidance.

IIIT Amethi is situated near a village named Tikarmafi, 10 km away from Amethi. It has its own perks. Here are some factors about the institute.

Academics:

Both IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Amethi have the same curriculum and professors. Because of that, professors visit the Amethi campus on a daily basis.
As almost everything is similar for both campuses, the exams are also conducted parallelly in both of them, making them at par for things related to academics.

Placements:

Students of IIIT Amethi are shifted to the campus of IIIT Allahabad after their 4th year, securing them placements similar to the Allahabad campus.
Needless to say, IIIT Allahabad does come with good placements. IIIT Amethi also enjoys the same privilege as placement is same for both the institutes.

Facilities and Infrastructure:

This is exactly where you can set the contrast between the two campuses. IIIT Amethi lacks good infrastructure. It is a very compressed campus with only two boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel.
There had not been any sports facilities in the institute before. But at present, it has standard Basketball courts, a Badminton court, TT tables and a playground for cricket.
The labs and libraries are minuscule too. It can hardly support the strength.
Besides, you might also not find any up-to-the-mark food items around the campus, but just snacks to keep the day going.
There’s an option to take a bus ride to visit a town nearby, Sultanpur, which helps in a way to let students escape from the everyday life at Amethi, and rather spend time in that area, or buy decent food.

IIIT Amethi does have its fair share of disadvantages but it offers good placement in top-notch MNCs such as Google, Facebook, and Adobe, etc. Also, the pros outweigh the con for IIIT Amethi.
