Placement Experience:
Campus placements are generally done by the Studen Placment Office (SPO). Although a student can also apply through an off-campus placement. Placement is more or less irrelevant of branch because most people opt for non core jobs and circuital jobs. It is all dependent in ones skills and consistency.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The faculty staff is good every month new innovations take place in iits. The student ratio is about 1:6 which is getting improved year by year. Quality of teaching is also at the best level. In a semester 2 exams are there mid-semester and end semester difficulty level is hard

Placement Experience:
In the iitk if we talk about the campus placement then here the start with the internship this is the first campus placement which is placed during the studying in respective courses but the internship duration is around 2 or 3 months here the student are eligible for the campus placment after the 4th semester . in the previous year means in 2022-23 for the campus placement around 400+ companies visited and around the 1300+ offers made and the highest placement is aroun 4cr+ and the average placement 25lpa . the placement percentage around 95 to 100 % . my plan is after completing the graduation to move on the job.

- College is amazing which provides you the best facilities and a platform by which you can improve your life. Campus life is also good. Sports facilities provided here are amazing. I liked the olympic sized swimming pool I have a interest in it
Placement Experience:
From the third semester Student are eligible for the Internship for the company which is also provided by the college or students can also apply from somewhere else.
Approximately 300+ companies arrived on the campus and they made around 1200+ offers for the student.
The highest package received is 4.2 crore and this is offered by Janestreet. He is a student of Computer Science and Engineering. The average package of each branch is different with CSE having the highest and then Mathematics and then Electrical Engineering. The overall average of the package is around 2000000 per annum.
Almost all students are placed this year ( 97% ).
I will do a job or a startup which I will think about in the upcoming years.

Placement Experience:
Placements are good here students are been offered 16lpa and above packages and most students bang international offers of Rs 4 cr placement per cent is 95 per cent. Various students also try off-campus placement.

- The sports facilities and the other technical facilitiesare also very good

Placement Experience:
From the 6 semesters, the students became eligible for the placement still they have to complete all 8 semesters but before that, they can apply for the placement can get the pre-placement offer from the companies.

- Mess food here was disliked as a South Indian
- Kanpur City outside here was not much developed
- Climate here is so cool in winter and hot in summer
Placement Experience:
The placements here were excellent. Almost every student here gets a placement in the campus placements. Microsoft, Google, Apple, and so many other companies come to offer internships and the average package is around 20 lakhs.

- Campus is placed in the outskirts,so travel becomes difficult
- Weather conditions were also extreme to bear.
- Mosquitoes were also a issue being a green campus
Placement Experience:
We get internship offers from 2nd year and probably some get placed there and most of the placement process starts in 4th year. Packagers were great I think the average was around 25 lakhs for CSE last year.

- Mosquitoes in summer is quite a problem unless you bring an allout yourself
- The weather in kanpur is quite unstablr. Summer is extremely hot.
- The kanpur city is one of the woerst cities ever.

Placements at IIT Kanpur are solely the reason why it's called one of the best institutes in the world. The highest package is around 4 crores. An average package is about 22 LPA. Almost 960 out of 1000 people get employed every year.

What is your review of the earth sciences department at IIT Kanpur?

The Earth Sciences is a Department imparting education related to the study of Earth and its geological reliefs. The best part about this Department is that every course here overlaps with some or the other course of other departments making it a multifaceted one.
Earth Sciences curriculum overlaps with many courses in Material Science and Physics, Civil and Chemical, and even Electrical and CSE. This provides diversity in the overall learning experience of the course making it very interesting.
The only major issue is that due to common courses, the curriculum is vague and has no well-defined structure and content. We hope that this flaw is taken care of in the near future.
The program provides versatile job prospects even in the field of Satellite Remote Sensing, weather prediction, and geothermal power plants.

Is IIT Guwahati becoming the next IIT Kanpur?

Both IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur are well-respected institutions, known for their high-quality education and research. Comparing the two is already justified and saying that one institution is becoming the next of the other is more so. Both institutions have their strengths and areas of expertise. Yet, if I was to choose one I would have always gone for IIT Kanpur.
Some points that favor my preference are as follows:
- The quality of coursework at IIT Kanpur is extremely challenging and will keep you on your toes always. It offers the best quality of education and you will learn much more than other IITs if you are regular to classes and take your academics seriously,
- The usual schedule of a student at IIT Kanpur is not always jammed, unlike the general opinion. The timings of the clubs align with the classes and you can take out time for both if you are good at managing your time well.
- Another challenging aspect of IIT Kanpur is its tough grading system, (10,8,6,4..) under which anything below 10 is 8. Thus you are under tremendous pressure to maintain your CGPA and is enough of a motivating factor.
Overall, even if Guwahati was to be compared to IIT Kanpur, it still has a long way to go until it becomes the next IIT Kanpur.
