IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I choose to pursue my Btech CSE from IIT Kharagpur as the institute was very popular and renowned for its various good aspects such as academic excellence and rigor, impeccable placements records, versatile faculty members, student-driven campus, comprehensive and challenging curriculum, rigorous training, etc. Admission for the BTech programme was done based on the valid scores in the 10+2 exams followed by the scores in JEE advanced followed by JOSAA counseling.

IIT Kharagpur is among the top IITs of the country and this is the reason it was among my top priorities for my BTech. IITK was placed 5th for BTech in 2020 NIRF rankings and got the same position in overall rankings too. Admissions to the Institute are done similarly as other institutes of IIT group as the seats as allocated by JOSAA counselling as per the JEE score of the candidates

Vinod Gupta School of Management is a reputed management education college. It is an AICTE approved college. The admission is based on cumulative CAT score and PI process. The institute is having positive reviews about placement and ROI in educational websites also.

VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur is a good B School. An MBA from an IIT ecosystem is much more valued than a normal MBA college. The placements and infrastructures are best . In NIRF 2020 the college is having 2nd rank. The admission is merit based on CAT scores, followed by GD and PI.

Students become eligible for campus placement from their last semester [8th semester]. On-Campus Placement is very Good at IIT KGP. Especially for my branch, it remains close to 100% being 100% consecutively the second time in a row. The average package in my branch was around 19 lakh per annum & the highest package offered was 1.51 Crores. Many companies & MNCs from in and around the world come to IIT KGP for Campus Placement. Name of some companies is Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, Accenture, Sony, Rakuten , TSMC, and many more .

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. They are offered by companies to be in internships and complete their degree. Big companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, etc visit the campus and offers a good amount of package for students who give best interviews and have good cgpa. The highest package that was offered to a student of computer science was more than a 1 crore package. The average package depends on the respective branch which is most of CS, then electrical, mathematics, etc. Mostly ll the students get above 15 lakh package in all core branches. Almost 90% of students get placed from in-campus placements, other those apply for companies that do not come to the institute. I will go for campus placements after completing my degree. I want to work in India so I can give something to my country.

Institute provides campus Placement. Student of B.tech and dual degree programme getting 93-96% placement from campus to top industries across the world .and Institute also provides internship. And student when enrolled in last year or just last 3rd semester they were able to apply for any company. And Institute also provides chances to any student of any branch can apply for any job Or company. Ever highest package is 2.2 crore and the lowest maybe 6 lack per annum average depends upon branch wise some students of specific branch getting more benefits and having higher placement average like cse, mnc, ece, etc.

Roi, brand name, placement stats, batch size, alumni network, feedback given by seniors, recruiters visiting every year, roles offered were majorly related to IT consulting and operations which is my area of interest, considered one of the best colleges for operations and technology management, IIT brand tag
