Before joining Mtech in Computer Science and Data Processing (Mathematics department) in IIT Kharagpur I completed M.Sc in Mathematics from IIT Madras. At that time wanted to go for industry jobs so I decided to pursue M.Tech course related to computer science. Specifically, I am interested in Machine learning and statistical data analysis. That time I had two options either IIT Madras (Mtech in Industrial mathematics and scientific computing) or IIT Kharagpur (Mtech in CSDP). I preferred IIT Kgp and joined it.

Not that bad but there is a lack of experience of city life in and around the campus In Kharagpur there is need of some good restaurants and good places to chill and hangout good food is needed to make our mood better

College is situated in a remote area with the nearest airport situated 3 hours from the campus and outside campus apart from a big bazaar there's not much. So anything people do is inside the campus. Societies fests and programs here and there offer most of the required enjoyment.

The climate in Kharagpur is really awful, it is worst one I have ever faced in my life. Also. , kharagpur is known for bad food quality. But people usually go out to eat or there are many canteens to satisfy the taste buds.

My college has very good infrastructure and and very good environment for students to develop their skills and nourish their talents. It is 5th ranked college of our country in engineering category. Apart from the academic pressure and peer pressure for studies I don't think there is any other negative remarks that can be made on our college

It's best college to express and explore each and every field you are interested. It provides all the necessary platform. Whether you are from rural area or high profile society, you will be treated equally by this institute. And one more thing, I want to add that is bonding. In college like IIT kharagpur where there is a large number of students and so many societies, you will have a very strong network after your graduation. Bilieve me this is gonna help you each and every stage of your life whether you are in college or graduated.

Lots of Freedom. Depends on the student to use it wisely. The college does not have intime, hence people can roam around anywhere nearly any time. This increases the safely issue. Also, due to too much feeedom, students end up in substanxe abuse quite often. It is upto the student to wisely go about the utilise the freedom to build good skill sets and interact.

One of the best institution in India if not the best. The infrastructure, facilities, faculties are exceptionally good. It also gives very nice social impression which nowadays is very integrated part of life. Also if someone utilities their stay in IITKGP they are meant to have good and bright future.
