- they have fully flexible credit system that is you can choose your own faculty.
- the campus is green and big, and food shops are available at every corner.
- you can choose your subjects every semester and there is no compulsion as you have to complete a 150 or 160 credits in 4 years.
Dislikes
- in time for girls is 8 pm and boys is 9 pm
- to go out of the campus you need permission from parents hostel and proctor, and a very long procedure and you can go outing only for 6 hours.
Placement Experience:
for placements after 3rd year you go for internship and in the 4th year you get placedby what companies that come to the campus to conduct the placements highest package varies every year but average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs

- Good educational environment.We have a choice to choose our own faculty through FFCS system which is very advantageous.
- Social cultural Clubs .We can join whatever Club we are interested in.
- Vibrant mix of cultures available at the campus.
Dislikes
- Kinda strict.Campus life must be made much more flexible.
- Outing procedures are strict and for certain hours limit.
- Overpriced commodities are sold at the campus.
Placement Experience:
Placements information accoring to the year upto 2022 was pretty good and welcoming.But recently it has gone down according to the faculties.According to the faculties the placement opportunities have decreased and a lot of students are yet to be placed.

- Academics is very good. The college particularly focuses on the academic and made it very strict. Students with scores greater that 9 gpa have benefits which makes us competitive to be better and study well than gooding around.
- Provides elective courses, languages and other social courses which makes us gain knowledge on prospects other than Btech.
- Have all the lab facilities and infrastructure.
Dislikes
- Very strict. College is unnecessarily strict in a few things which makes us feel suffocated sometimes.
- Hostels are not up to the standard for the fee we pay. Boys get better facilities in hostels than girls
- Need to focus more on co curricalr activities and fun that we are supposed to have in college.
Placement Experience:
Placements are good. Provides good placement. 100 percent placement is there unless you engage in some activities where you get debarred. Companies visit often. Both vellore main campus and chennai sit for placements together. Which is a bit complicated and competitive to get into good end jobs

- The infrastructure and the campus as a whole is great, the academic buildings are great.
- The placement opportunities offered by the campus is great
- The ffcs system gives you the opportunity to choose teachers and courses you like and also helps you meet new people
Dislikes
- The hostel system is very poor due to the living conditions
- Due to the everchanging classes due to ffcs, you get new people in classes everytime.
Placement Experience:
The students become eligible for the campus placement in the 3rd year. The companies that visit are excellent as compared to the other colleges on the same level. Vit claims 100% placement as well as an average package of 6lac.the highest package is in excess of 70lac rupees.

- The college offers a fully flexible credit system where students can get the flexibility to opt for course they love , according to their free time slots, therefore making life less hectic.
- The Chennai campus offers a Library that functions till 12 pm, it has free wifi that is available till 12pm and is a full air conditioned building.
- There 100's of different clubs a person can join, there is a club for all areas of interest, which helps students interact with like minded individuals and learn more.
Dislikes
- The campus is very strict on public display of affection , except guards come and take your id card even if you are not involving in public display of affection.
- The dress code is very strict for girls , you have to be full covered from head to toe , no skirts, no shorts , no sleeveless. Its very unfair and sexist , since boys are allowed to wear whatever they want.
- Campus is Huge , not always a good thing, you have to walk 10 - 15 mins just to reach class , you are not allowed to keep cycles or anything of that sort.
Placement Experience:
Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai Campus had a 92% placement percentage. The Highest placement being around 1 cr and average is around 12 lakhs. Alot of companies and mass recuriters visit the campus to engineers from VIT chennai. I plan to have my own start up after my degree, which is different from others who plan to work after placement.

- Sometimes there are too much restrictions regarding the timings
Placement Experience:
This college provide a good place with an average around 9-10 lac per annum. Good college visits the campus such as Microsoft, Cognizant, Wipro, Bajaj, etc. One can pursue higher education after completing their undergraduate degree

- atmosphere and nature of the college is too good
- Faculyt are student friendly and all the staff are suportive
- there is a lot of free time to play and for physical activites
Dislikes
- the pace at which the academic year ends
- the strictness in the college and rules are too strict
- The policies during exams and the result pattern
Placement Experience:
the campus placements in our college start from 6th semester and most of the students are provided with placement opportunities
But if you have a cgp of 8.5 and above, then u are eligible for superdream offers that is 10 lakh plus

- Number of companies came for internships, every week there is a student seminar series where student can come express their views in front of a huge audience on any technical, non-technical topic,number of hackathon conducted here
- Always getting support from faculties to go through different research papers and write or patent a new one
- Placement cell is very supportive and they will be allowing equal opportunities to everyone as there is a transperancy in the placement process
Dislikes
- The online platform vtop usually crashes in the time when almost every student logs in it
- Hostel mess is not that much good ,it's average
- Hostel fees is not constant, they can change the way they want
Placement Experience:
Placement are comparatively better than other private colleges, after third year students started to get notifications for summer internships and one-semester internships ,After fourth year the main placement season starts
Approx 150 Companies like Amazon,Intel, Microsoft,DBS,City,PWC,Z campus,TCS, Accenture,Fidelity,etc came last time nd hired students
Highest was Approx 85lpa from Chennai campus and the average was 7-8 lpa
As it was recession year so average percentage reduced as compared to other years andit was around 70-75%
My plans are also to get placed in the upcoming placement season

- Good cultural society in the college as it has many clubs related to almost everything
Dislikes
- Too much strictness in the hostel as one cannot even keep any electronic as small as speaker
Placement Experience:
Here in VIT there is good average of placement and also students are getting a good offers from different companies.
Companies come in a vast numbers and provide internship and if performed well, it can turn into a PPO

- the Infrastructure of the college is pretty nice and they are still making new academic buildings, the size of campus is decent.
- If you maintain decent Cgpa (8.5) , you will easily get a decent package in placement and reputation of this college is also good
- If you are passionate enough in your course and have good cgpa, then college will give you a lot of opportunities , like one of my friend from CSE core branch is going to taiwan of summmer internship , nad he got it through a collage faculty.
Dislikes
- there are lot of rules and regulations in the college and often hostel students feel suffocated as you cant go out of hostel after 8 (for girls) and after 9(for boys).
- you cant go out of college if you are hosteller without permission from your procter ( it is a faculty the is assigned to you when you join the college), and procter will call your parents before granting you permission.
- the tution fess is very high in this college and hostel fees is also high for a missle class student, for4 bed AC you have to pay 107000 only for room and 78K for beg mess, which is not worth it.
Placement Experience:
for getting on campus placements, you should not have any backlogs, and should have a decent cgpa to get a good placement, VIT is known for its good average package in placements, recently some students got placed in zomato with 50 LPA, placement of all the VIT campus take place together and more then 500+ companies. VIT also has a record of 100% placement all the students that sit in placement, get placed. I am also planning to sit in placements and get a job, but there are many students that opt for masters and MBA or go for off-campus placements either by choice or due to having backlogs. placemnts is the USP of VIT nad students choose VIT instead of some IIITs and NITs due to placements .

In terms of academics, Amrita University matches the IIT syllabus and course structure. The infrastructure and laboratories are in good condition. The college works closely with businesses and other educational institutions. Many academic activities are being carried out to ensure effective information exchange.
College life is the most interesting part. Amrita University's Coimbatore campus is one of the cleanest in India and spans 500 acres. Amrita is a very diverse campus and a great place to make new friends. There is no such constraint. Cell phones are not permitted in the classroom. However, after leaving the classroom, you can talk to your loved ones. A minimum attendance requirement of 80% must be met, or you must present sufficient justification for your absence.
Amrita provides free wifi that is typically 0.5Mbps fast. Aside from YouTube, Facebook, and a few other sites, most academic content is available. Everything else is restricted. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served. The menu is adequate for a South Indian restaurant. If you are a traveler, you will have enough vacation time in Amrita to visit all of India in two years. The resident warden must grant permission for the outing. Every time a girl needs an outing pass, she must submit a fax from her parents. You can earn millions if you plan on participating in and winning every cultural event that is held there. It is an excellent world-class platform for showcasing and honing your skills.
This academic year, Atlassian is the employer with the highest salary on offer to Amrita students, with a staggering 52 lakhs offered annually. Microsoft offered 43 lakhs per year in salary, while Cisco hired 27 students at a CTC of 29.18 lakhs per year.
According to the most recent report, the highest and average compensation packages offered during the 2022 placement drive were INR 19.17 LPA and INR 6.72 LPA, respectively.
