Placement Experience:

The placement in my college are of decent amount. From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. This year placement of Sri Venkateshwara college managed to get around 200 placement offers that's a good amount in itself. Various companies that visit the college are Google, Amazon, HCL etc. The highest package in our college was 15LPA and the average package offered was 5.3LPA. 70% of students from a course are placed. I'm planning to do masters in physics after receiving my degree from Delhi University itself.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements for jobs from the 5th semester but they can apply for internships even in the first semester. Many companies like Dolittle visit every year and a lot of offers are made. The placements mainly happen for Commerce and to some extent arts students, and students from other students rarely get placements as most of them go for higher studies The average placement is around 4Lakh pa but, it has gone up to 12Lakh and even higher at maximum. My plan after getting this degree is to do a master's in genetics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as this is one of the most popular and difficult course of Delhi University but Economics is also my area of intrest. So for every batch there is 1 teacher for the core subject throughout the semester but there are 2-3 teachers for the GE and AECC subjects. Almost all the core subject teachers have completed their PHD's and are well qualified. Teaching method is standard throughout the University. Term exams are on time as the University conducts it and it is pretty normal not too difficult.

Placement Experience:

In third year the students are eligible for placements in college. There are many reputed companies visiting our college for placement like Delloite, D.E. Shaw, TATA, ect. The highest package for our course was of R.S.2300000. Around 35% of the students get placed every year. I plan to pursue my masters after the completion of my degree here.

I am currently studying in the college so talking about my placement would not be fair enough. Though college provides pretty good placement and internship opportunities. The placement cell of the college consistently works on bringing a variety of companies to the college and thus giving adequate exposure to the students

My review on my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a very keen interest in mathematics and there were also other factors which leads me to this college such as I was from Rajasthan board Hindi medium and I have difficulty with English so I took maths as my course. The student-faculty ratio is very good at 75:4. All faculty are postgraduates in their respective fields. Exams are a bit easy you will easily qualify them

The placement cell of our college is very good considering the availability of job opportunities in the market. Students become eligible for college placement in 3rd year. The companies coming to our college are the same as various other colleges of DU. The highest package was around 1500000 and average package was 5.3 lakh. Around 60% of students get placed. My plans after getting a Degree are Appearing in Civil Services.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
