- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
- Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.
- Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.
Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester (4th year). The major companies that offered placement were Google, Amazon, Jane Street, IBM, Apple, Microsoft, etc. Last year around 600 offers were made. The highest package was 2.4 crore and the average package was 27LPA. Around 74.09% was the placement rate. My plan after completing my degree is to get placed at a reputable company.

- Academics pressure was very high and exam were held in every week
Placement Experience:
From the start of the third year institute helped us to grab opportunities for getting internships, all big companies like Google, Microsoft etc visited our campus, and 50% of them got internship opportunities. For placement, 87% of students got placed highest package was around 2cr an average around 21lpa and a median of 18lpa

- Campus Scenery is really good. It is the best among all IITs
- Ample research opportunities and they encourage u to pursue masters
- Good faculties and they are really knowledgeable and helpful
Dislikes
- The cost of things is high compared to other cities
- The hostel rooms can be small as because it is shared
- Grading can be bit too strict and exams can be a bit too hard
Placement Experience:
About 80-90% of the students get placed. The median is highest among all IITs abt 21.5lkhs per annum. The highest package this time was above 1cr per annum and a lot of high-profile companies from various fields visited us

- Sports facilities are very high class almost all sports are available here
- Study facilities here are also unmatchable

Placement cell is provided to students for their help
Placement is also very good around 1900000 average package
Highest package offered is 1.2 crore domestic package
Almost 80% students get placed

- Nature: Most beautiful campus of India spreading across 700 acres having awesome natural beauty
- Peer groups: different people came from different section of societies, it's really amazing to interact with them.
- Facilities: Sports, Tech, Culture, these facilities are amazing in the campus you are also provided with Hospital inside the campus, and it also have bus facility
Dislikes
- Weather: mostly it is humid here and it really makes tough to be here
Course Curriculum Overview:
I thought about future opportunities regarding this course.
Faculty: The student ratio for the first year is about 1:250.
Faculties are highly qualified and teach in the best way. but you have to work hard to get better grades.
Exams are quite good, if you study well you can ace it easily.

- There are many insects around here in the night and also snakes are common
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose chemical engineering at IIT Guwahati as it was the best option for my rank and I always had a deep interest in the Chemical engineering curriculum.
The faculty-student ratio is around 1:50
All the faculty members have done Ph.D. in their respective fields from IITs or from foreign universities. They teach good
Term exams were difficult and they were held around mid-September.

- Amazing college culture, having healthy and improving environment.
- No ragging is there , all senior are helpful.
- Most beautiful campus in India in the lap of nature.
Dislikes
- The exam pattern, too many test and quiz .
- The gender ratio is not so good, around 25% students are only girls
- In August there is too much hot and humid weather in iitg .
Placement Experience:
Along with the 5th semester, students have provided internship for real-life job experience. and placement happenes in 7th to 8th semesters. in this year highest package from iitg was 2.4 crores, with an average of 22 Lpa. depending on branches around 70 to 80 % of students grab their jobs in college placement.

- Senior are very helpful and guide in every situation.
- Campus is very beautiful and homely with beautiful creatures in the campus.
- Infrastructure is very well developed and strong i.e earthquake resistant.
Dislikes
- Located in remote area,little difficult to for transport .
- Climate is unpredictable. And snakes and foxes are there.
- Academics are very strict and strict attendance policy is followed
Placement Experience:
Placements are done in 4th year. Many companies enter for placements and have individual cut-offs.
Companies like Microsoft, Google, Flipkart, ola, etc enter this placement process.
The highest package last year was 2.4 cr.
And the average package is 21 lakhs.
The percentage of students getting placement is around 80% because some student opts for higher studies or other reasons.

- Campus is very beautiful which calms your heart and helps to cure in bad days of college.
- Sports club here are good and have plenty of facilities available here.
- Labs are fun and events are so much fun .
Dislikes
- Academic is very much rigid and makes difficult to work on ourselves.
- Attendance policy is very hard and one have to attend classes anyways.
Placement Experience:
Campus placement is very good here. Many big tech and finance companies visit here and offer packages of crores.
Students start getting internship opportunities from 2nd year onwards and get PPOs at the end of 3rd year.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.
