- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

I did an internship with the Mind tree consulting and it was an amazing experience for me. Now coming to the full-time opportunity there were several offers made from some renowned brands like IBM, Flip kart, TCS, Kanbay, Cognizant, TCS, FICO, Virtusa India, Cordys, etc. We got the offers for the domains like Human-Computer Interfaces and Interaction Design, Design and Management Consultancies, New media and Game Design, E-learning & Web Technologies System Design and Information Architecture, etc. the average package I was offered was around Rs. 8,00,000.

The college placement quality no dounbt are best in class. The college manages to reach a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee members are highly experienced and they guide us in all the placement rounds and steps. With the help of the placement committee, the highest offer of college is around 2.5 CPA and the average salary offer s around 25 LPA.

Placement Experience:
The college placement is very good our batchmates also have received international placement offers too. The college placement standards are very high and I am really glad that I was part of IIT Guwahati. The college maintains a record of 100% placement and the highest placement offers of the college goes up to 75 LPA and international placement offers goes up to 1.50 CPA and the average salary offer was around 25 LPA. Total 150 companies visited our campus to take part in the college placement drive.

Placement Experience:
Being a premier institute of the country, placements are good and have been rising even in the Covid situation. On-campus placements begin in December. Also, you can apply for internships according to your skills from the 2nd or 3rd year. There are high chances of getting placed and that too with a good package. CSE students usually get higher packages but it mostly depends on the student. IIT Guwahati has a great research environment so you can also opt for higher studies.
In chemical engineering, almost 90% of students were placed with an average salary of 22.5 LPA.

IIT Guwahati has managed to bag 33 pre placement of first till now with the highest CTC of INR 2.5 crores and an average CTC of 75 lacs. A total of 56% of students were placed 140 companies had participated, including Google, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Chalo, Microsoft, etc. Top recruiters included Qualcomm, Oracle, American Express, Walmart, Razorpay, groww, etc. Major job profiles included financial analyst, system engineer, engineer trainee, analogue engineer, digital engineer, systems engineer, product engineer, software development engineer, Etc. These companies had a record of recruiting students that had a previous internship a life project experience. Also, skills like negotiation, soft skills, communication skills, etc were observed in students who got placement at the first stage.

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible to sit in placements season in the 7th semester while some students get the PPO also, they need not sit in the placement again. Almost all big MNCs like Google, Microsoft, uber, quad eye, sprinkler, etc visit our college to hire.
The highest package offered was 2cr per annum in the last season while the average package is around 30 LPA for our course.
almost 90% of the students who opt for placements apart from higher studies get placed.

Placement Experience:
Due to the distinct location of the campus, few companies visit the campus for placements. A number of opportunities are less but very good. If you want to land in a great company, I suggest you start preparing from the start of your course so that you have a good understanding of the subjects. In my batch, the highest CTC went to Rs.1.5 CPA. Various job roles were offered like Product Designer, Graphic Designer, UX, and UI.

Placement Experience:
The placements record of my college is very well. The students become eligible from the 5th and the 6th semester for campus placements. Many multinational companies like Accenture, Deloitte, EY, PWC, etc. came to offer and at a very nice package. Almost 65% students were placed through the placement cell last year.

Although the placement percentage is not 100% but the opportunities provided by the institute are very good. In the field of BDes, some of the top companies of the industry participated during the placements. In general, the highest CTC went to Rs. 1.5 CPA. Companies that visited for the placements were Microsoft, Google, Qualcomm, Oracle, American Express, Walmart, Adobe, Razorpay and Groww.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I was interested in chemistry so that was the major reason for me in selecting the course. Faculty strength was 50 and students included B.tech, m.tech, Ph.D., research scholars combined around 250. The faculty are very experienced and have finished their postdocs as well.
