- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

The college provides good placement offers and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee plays an important role during the placement process. As they are fully responsible for our performance in placement. The college placement committee of the college makes sure that every one of us is placed. The highest package for our batch is around 36 LPA and the average salary package is around 20 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Amazon, L&T, Oracle, Apple are the top recruiter of the college.

The college placement records are wonderful. Like other IITs IIT Guwahati also provides high packages for deserving candidates. The college placement cell is helpful and supportive they guide and help us during the placement drive and make sure that each and every participating student is selected. The highest package for our batch went up to 95 LPA and the average package went up to 50 LPA. Most of the students receive pre-placement offers during the internship program. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Chalo, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Groww, Razorpay, Apple, DRDO, etc participated in the campus placement drive.

The college has one of the best placement records. the college placement committee is so dedicated that they make sure that every student appearing for placement is placed. They work as a mentor for the students and guide us throughout the placement process. The college has a 100% placement record and all because of the hard work of the college placement committee. From 8th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements.
Many tech giants like Microsoft, Adobe, Walmart, atlassian, google, Uber, etc visit the campus.
Also many non tech profiles like business consultant, product management, financial advisor, etc are offered to the students.
No. Of offers made was 530.
Highest domestic package was 1.2 crores and highest international package was 2.5 crores.
Placement percentage fir BTech students is 87.52%.
I will aim for CAT after getting my degree.

Placements will be held in the 4th year.
And few will be open up to eee and most companies will be open for all the branches.
Software companies will give less importance to cpi and core companies will give more importance.

The placements are good in our college. This year the average package is around18 LPA. From the 5th or 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package will be around 50 LPA.

You get eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards. Many big giants visit IIT Guwahati for placements. The placement stats can be seen on the official website of IIT Guwahati. The percentage of students placed ranged from 95% in CSE to 25% in EP. The highest and average package is around 80 Lac and 15 lac respectively. Many students also prefer to go for higher education.

Placement Experience:
The placement stats in IIT Guwahati like any other IITs are very good. Most of the students who apply for campus placement get placed provided they have decent enough scores. Some of the students apply for further education too so talking about the percentage of total students is not appropriate. Some of the students also found their own start ups here and have been very successful in their careers ahead. My plan is to get a job in the campus placement.

The first phase of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati 2019-20 placements was held from December 1 to December 15, 2019. Within two days of placements, more than 300 offers were received from big companies including Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Google, IBM and Oracle among others. The institute also received a total of 20 international offers from Uber, Microsoft, Accenture Japan, BNY Melon USA and SOU Japan. According to the head of the Career Development Centre at IIT Guwahati, the number of international offers surpassed double of the previous year’s total in the second day of placements itself. The jobs were being offered in diverse profiles such as IT/Software, Analyst, Finance, Management, Design, etc. During this phase, 250 companies had registered, compared to about 200 companies in the whole of last year (2018-19). The average CTC offered was around 17LPA.

Around 57% of students were placed this year through an online mode, which is a decline compared to the rpevious year owing to covid-19, The highest package offered was 70 LPA, while the average package was 21 LPA. Around 150 companies visited the campus, Microsoft and Adobe being the top recruiters. Although the placement virtues here seems lucrative, I would like to pursue higher studies and then pick up a job.
