Mtech EXPERIENCE OF NIT SURAT

Placement Experience:

After the 1st year of MTech .... Companies are coming for you with a good package. for soil mechanics students, the highest package was 7lak per annum and 5 lakh is the least package. There is 70-80 percent of students got placed in good companies. I am interested in a government job so I prepared for that.I will do a government job after my degree.

SVNIT Overview

Remarks:

Based on MHRD ranking, but don't choose based on MHRD ranking, go through general ranking of all NITs and fill the college name in CCMT counselling accordingly. Admission in NITs and other university through CCMT counselling in 4 round.

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. MNCs visit in our college and they do offer good salary. Highest packages is 20lakhs/annum Avg -7lakhs/annum There is 70-80%placements.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 7th semester for their campus placements. Companies like ZS, Accenture, Infosys and many more great companies visits the campus. Almost 75% of students gets placed. I am preparing for State psc and other government jobs.

SVNIT was a mistake

Placement Experience:

Companies take students from the third year as interns and may provide jobs depending on performance. Jobs are provided directly to students from the 4th year after the placement process. In Chemical Engineering maximum package last year was 15 lpa and the minimum was 4 lpa. 75-80% are placed in Chemical Engineering. I will probably take a job with a slim chance at masters.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students gets offering the placements offers. Various companies like reliance, Wipro, cairn, mg motors, l&t and many more come to our college and oner 80 % students of our branch got placed. The highest package of our branch is 20 lakh and the avg package is 7 lakh almost. I want to get placed and do a job.

SVNIT - SHORT AND SIMPLE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

Students of the third year are eligible for internships companies like Accenture ‚ Wipro ‚ Microsoft ‚ L&T ‚HPCL ‚ RIL and many more. The placements start from the 7th semester and the students who have above 7 CGPA are eligible to sit for placements in our chemical engineering branch. The average package of our branch was 6.5 Lacs per annum and the highest package was 36 Lacs per annum in the year 2020-2021 by L&T . Almost 90% of students were placed.

SVNIT Surat: campus life and opportunities

Remarks:

Firstly it is a reputed institute of national importance. The selection procedures are well organised compared to IITs. For IITs there are individual selection processes which is really difficult. But for NITs it's combined, application and selection procedures are done using CCMT website, so there won't be any overlap. There were 3 rounds of allotment. The willingness or confirmation of joining need to be given after the first round at the nearest NIT. Joining to the finally allotted institute is only after 3rd round.

Integrated M.Sc in Physics. should I? should i not?

Remarks:

I was interested in pursuing research in Physics. I applied for IISER's as well, but their exam involved biology section too. Which I hadn't taken in 12th. So, I was unable to crack it. After which I searched for options which were left for me, in which this course was the best one.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
