My college experience

Placement Experience:

I know Mechanical Engineering has low placement compare to computer engineering and other soft branches, but in the case of SVNIT Surat there mechanical engineering average placement is 3.5 to 12.5 lakh per annum, so I selected Mechanical in SVNIT.

Course Curriculum Overview:

my focus was learning fluids and thermodynamics and practical physics, so I chose mechanical engineering. faculty to student ratio is 1:60 all professors are PhD, most proffs teach nicely exams are conducted timely

Good college

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. In 7th semester placement starts in my college and you have to secure 7+ cgpa for good company and placement. There are many companies you can check pdf at official website of svnit and many jobs are offered.. The highest package is 40 lakhs last year and the average for the computer branch around 10-13 lakh for overall average package might be 6-8 lakh. In computer branch 100% placement are there otherwise 70% placements are there. I want to become a teacher after degree.

My college Svnit is best college

Placement Experience:

Last year is an online placement but very interested placement . And I am very happy so lots of companies visit in over college and 70-80% students are here. Highest package 50 lakh in ece at last year . Civil engineering department in 50% student in placement .

Placement Experience:

There are 90% of students got placement every year. This college is provided very good placement offers and also college invites many companies on our campus so that's the reason every Scholer and even moderate students also can achieve a good job and good placement according to their skills. Here also teaching us how to develop the skills and knowledge of the business. There are many companies visited like L and T, Birla, Reliance, Tata, etc. In our college, the highest placement is around 56 lacks in computer science engineering field.

SVNIT! Go for it!!!

Placement Experience:

Students can have proper internships in their dream companies from 2nd year. in the final year, there is campus placement and top tech companies of the world like Microsoft, google, amazon, etc visits here. This can vary year by year. In the year 2019-20, 529 students got placed in campus placement maximum package offered was 37.50 lakhs per annum. The average package for computer science is 13.32 lakh per annum. Maximum placements were offered by software/IT companies for all branches(34%). 25% of students got packages above 9 lakh per annum. Companies hiring were NXP, J.PMorgan, HSBC, GE, DE Shaw&Co, Credit Suisse, Future First, MasterCard, OLA, TATA, Infosys, L & T, Vedanta, Godrej, TATA HITACHI, and many more. 67.56% of Btech students got campus placements. In the last year 2020-21, the highest package in campus placement was 40 lakh per annum from the ECE branch. I will be opting for MTech after the completion of my degree.

Placement Experience:

For the Campus internship program companies came on the campus during the 5th semester. And for the final placement companies will come during the 7th semester. Generally in my branch, almost all eligible student gets placed. Except those who want to do higher studies or want to go in some other field. The T&P will support you throughout your process.

Remarks:

The main reason to choose SVNIT was a very good NIRF Ranking in 2016. Also I wanted to choose computer science as my majors, so this was the best college in which I could get preferred stream as per my JEE Main Rank.

A dream come true or just waste of time money and efforts?

Placement Experience:

From semester 3 students become eligible for campus placements but the college give us various opportunities of internship from 2nd year onwards. A few companies visited are Master Card, JPMC. Almost 75% of students are placed in the campus placement. I have decided to sit for placements after getting the degree

Life at SVNIT

Placement Experience:

For masters, students from the 3rd semester were eligible for placements. AECOM, WSP, TCE, etc visited campus for placements. The highest package was 24 L CTC and beverage package would be something around 5 L.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
