I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

NITK Life

Likes

Campus was beautiful and we can go to beach at any time and we have night canteens also so we can eat carvings at night and we have good studies facilities in college
Night canteen and beaches was highlights in college
Gardens and mess have good food in college

Dislikes

So hot humid climate in college which is beach affect
We cannot see winter season here only heavy rain only 2 months per year
Hot climate make so thirsty and tan for your skin

Placement Experience:

Placements are also good in NITK which has average of 15 lakhs and have maximum of 50 lakhs +and this varies for different branches of our college. Companies like Google Microsoft and texus also appeared in placement

NITK the good side and slight bad side

Likes

The calub culture and the events that are conducted
The faculty are ready to extend help for undertaking projects under them
The hostel system appoints a GMC who looks after timely maintenance

Dislikes

Slow and delayed process of repairs of electricals for hostels
Water shortage problem and bad arrangements during summer
Bad and slow wifi connections available at hostels

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was inclined towards opting for a core job, or to say mainly research and NITK being reputed attracted me to take admission here. I am satisfied with the cirriculum and the method of delivery of the courses.

Pros and cons of NITk

Likes

Happening campus activities and the beach
Free health care for students and reimbursement facility
Exposure to the technical world and freedom to do any project

Dislikes

Some what mess food is what I can say is not good
Too much of Jungle and dogs in the college
Climate is very much bad ! Top much of humidity

Placement Experience:

Placements are best for the college different types of job opportunities are made available for the students by the college! Avg CTC for clg is 15 lakhs and highest package is of 57 lakhs! Around 92 % students get placed every year

Truth about NITK

Likes

The campus is pretty good. The facilities are fantastic.
The sports facilities is good and also the gym .
The beach is the best thing about the campus .

Dislikes

I didn't like some teachers tecahing style .
Teachers only focused on more brilliant students.

Placement Experience:

I think from 4th year studenst are eligible for placements so 7th semester .I don't have the idea about companies visiting right now . Highest was 60 lakhs I think and the average package is 18.2 lakhs per anum.

My Beautifully structured-NITK

Likes

The campus life, the teaching staff and the environment
The sport facilities are pretty impressive
The clubs and other non- academic things are impressive

Dislikes

I didn't liked the state reservation quota

Placement Experience:

Placements here are excellent within the campus our branch saw the highest package of 54 lpa where average package was somewhere near 25 lpa for other branches also the placement opportunities are great.

NITK , where dreams take shape..

Likes

Student activity center (sac) , Pavillion, Beach and swimming pool.

Dislikes

lot of stray dogs and cats . Sometimes there's too hot condition at summer.

Placement Experience:

My college has good placement records . It stands out to be second ranked NIT in India and offered good range of salary packages after graduation. Last year it has reported that the average package went out to be 18Lpa which is outstanding as compared to many colleges

I like the lush green campus surrounded by trees
I like the e library and central Library which is verg good for kitaabi keedas
The sports and extra curricular activities are top notch

Dislikes

I dislike the infrastructure of the buildings
I don't like the peer pressure exerted upon me
Privacy for some kind of people is not very readily available

Placement Experience:

Placements start from the seventh semester and are very good compared to other colleges. The highest package was 54.75 lpa and average was around 18 lpa. Around ninety percent of the students get placed

NITK surathkal,- is just the beach worth it

Classrooms and infrastructure of the building in which classes are held
there is a beach inside the campus which is very good
the location is very good, mangalore and udupi are close

Dislikes

campus is away from mangalore city, like it takes 40 minutes to reach mangalore
hostels are way too old, they need to get renovated
no floodlights are there in the main ground, so there is nowhere to play in night

Placement Experience:

placements are expected to be less due to less number of= companies visiting due to current situation. But still copanies like samsung, qualcomm, nvidia visisted our campus.the average package stood abou 1800000

Good campus life , campus is around 300 acres which is good to go for any college
beaches which is one of the best thing in nitk , for which many people from north come for.
placements are good , many people get this in starting of there 4th year itself

Dislikes

the hostel timing for the 1st year may prevent students from enjoying

Placement Experience:

Placement in nitk is one of the best , here about 95% of people are getting placed , as a mining engineer also previous year in 2023 about 97% of mining people get placed, many of the people go for non cores like SDE, analytics... etc .. previous year one people from mining cracked 1 cr package from off-campus and off campus also 22 lpa is the highest placement from mining, mainly companies that allow mining people are jio,axis bank,axiphyl,accenture,spinklr India, HSBC...etc MY plans for placements are like i am interested in coding things so i will go in some software companies and i know NITK is gone a Support me for this.

Nitk campus have its own beach where student can go
Campus have two sports complex where many types of sports are available
Seniors are very friendly here and no ragging is here

Dislikes

Club selection process is very high they take minimum number of students
At starting of year due to water shortage many times semester are squeezed and paper occurs more freuquently
College curriculum is more inclined towards study it could be more fun

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are available from 4 th year but we can get PPO from 3rd year. Many companies have visited our campus major ones from them are Google ,Amazon Microsoft ,Disney+hotstar and Goldman sachs company wise package details is not available for our branch but overall mean package was 25 lakh per annum and 45 lakh per annum was highest . last year placement percentage was almost 100 for it branch in nitk. I am planning to do job in it sector after getting degree.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
