The college has opportunities of scholarships for students have family income less than 10 lakhs and the college is great helper in these cases
Computer engineering students enjoy excellent placement opportunities, whereas for other branch students, there are fewer companies specifically in the core biotechnology sector.
The campus infrastructure is one of the best thing, it's pretty, filled with beautiful buildings, comfortable classes fully air conditioned, greenery all around sports complex running lanes, during winters and autumn the weather is so pleasant here.

Dislikes

I understand that there is a placement cell available here, but recently, the placements have not been very good.
Some teachers are not good at teaching and problem here to to find a rrsouce to study the topic
Fees is very high here which is the worst part here .

Honest Review - Thapar Computer Science

Placement Experience:

The placements are great, especially for computer-related branches. The average salary is increasing every year and is nearly about 12-15 LPA in the current scenario. Internship opportunities are also offered to the students. Companies like Apple, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Arcesium, Flipkart, Amazon, and many more also visit the campus.

Placement Experience:

College provides placements after completion of 3rd year and the companies which visit for computer science are tremendous in quality and quantity. The average package for cse students varies from 8-10 lac.

My college review- Thapar

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because of the scope and application in practical life and the numerous job opportunities. So coming to the students in our class, we are 130 students for one teacher. Hence, it 1:130 (faculty:student ratio). All the lecture teachers are Ph.D. holders, but the teachers taking the labs are the mixed - lecture teachers and Ph.D. scholars pursuing Ph.D. under the college. As a normal college, there are all types of teachers, few are great and dedicated to teaching, and some are just normal. We have 1 Mid Semester examination and 1 End Semester Examination, and the sessions in between. And they can easily be passed by an average student giving 1-2 hours daily.

Placement Experience:

College placements are very good. Mostly 90 percentage of students get placed in a reputed company with a very good salary. The highest package is 43 lakhs. My plan is to do MS in the USA after doing Btech from Thapar.

After 2nd-year student companies come around for internship and in the 5th-semester company placement started and about 90 percent of students placed in the end, The highest Package is nearly about 40 lakh every year and the average package this year was 8.5 lakh.

thapar university honest review

Placement Experience:

placements are decent here especially if you are from the computer science or computer engineering branch average package is 8 lakh per annum, i am planning to pursue higher studies like MBA or MTech after BTech.Placement is up to the students. No doubt college reputation can get but your resume is the one going to the company head. CGPA is the criterion to sit in a placement test but skills are the one that can get you a job.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are quite descent. Students from final year ,i.e., 7th and 8th semester become eligible for placements. The avergae package is around 7-8 lakhs and the highest package can go far as 40 lakhs per annum. I am also planning to sit in the placements after i get into the final year.

Placements at Thapar are quite good. We get almost more than 300 companies coming on campus. The highest package this year was 43 lacs. The average package of computer science was around 11 lacs this year.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from 3rd year with internship opportunities provided by the college. Big companies like Microsoft, amazon visit the campus. The Highest package was around 48 lpa while the average was around 10 lpa for CSE. 90% of students are getting placed on campus.

Thapar university honest review

Placement Experience:

Placements here at Thapar university are very good. Many companies visits here. Every student here at thapar gets placements. I am internship coordinator and I have observed students here are good during time of placements. Many students very easily crack top companies and get internship opportunities. Highest package evey year goes upto 42-45 lakh and average package vaires according to branch. I am aware of cse avg package it's 13-15 lakh. Thapar university has its good image in placements and internships opportunities. Many mass recruiters visits here such as dellotie, hcl, Infosys etc and they offer very good packages. From 5th semester students become eligible for on campus placements. Just strong up your coding and have good cgpa then you will easily get placed.

Thapar University has a brand name, however, the ground reality for this university is not very pleasant and it is swiftly losing the qualities that defined it in its glorious past. The rankings of students enrolled in the university are going down each year. The administration is taking serious measures against the same, however, because of these measures the other students are suffering. One example is the strict entry and exit timings.

Academically, your experience in this institution will differ according to your branch. The CSE branch has a cooperative faculty and lenient attendance criteria. This is not the case for other branches. In other branches, some faculty members may hold personal grudges against you while some may fail you for missing the required attendance mark (75%) by as small as 0.1%. The mess is below average and the classrooms are not very impressive. The administration is very slow.

However, there are positive points about Thapar University as well. The alumni from Thapar are placed in some of the best companies in India and abroad. It has some of the best synthetic courts in any engineering college in India. There are many teachers at Thapar University who serve as a source of inspiration to their students. Sports facilities for all the major sports are great. Placements at Thapar University are great and the labs are well updated. Even though Thapar is facing a drug problem, its teachers and administration are very active in trying to solve this issue.

Thus, even though Thapar University has outlived its glorious days, it has some positive points too. It is completely your choice whether or not you wish to take admission into it.

Thapar University has better placements than most private colleges and NITs. But the problem is, placements here directly depend on the grades of the students, and only the serious ones who work hard to build their profile bag the best packages.

Now the reviews of students are mixed because not everyone invests the same efforts and bags high packages. The people giving bad reviews are the ones who did not build their resumes well.

The best thing about Thapar University is the level of freedom you get to experience here. However, the increasing intake is slowly deteriorating the student quality so you might want to consider this before joining.
