- Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
- Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
- You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways
Dislikes
- The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
- Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
- This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

Yes our college offers campus placements. Many influential and we'll known companies come for recruitment in our college including PSUs.
Google Microsoft give highest packages.

Compared to other architectural colleges where there is no placement, in NITT they have training and placement cell who train and aid placements for architectural students along with other technical students. There will be average 10-12 companies who visit the college and 10-15 students get placed average for 4L

- We dont have extensive differentiation between boys and girls.
- The students are well protected and taken care of
- The resources are given when asked aptly.
Dislikes
- Curfew for girls. Its very restrictive and we dont like it
- Infrastructure is very old and not modern
- No modern technology used anywhere and hostel is bad
Placement Experience:
From 4th year onwards they are eligible for campus placements. Although they can get pre placement offers in 3rd year. Google, amazon, reliance are few companies who come for placements. The highest salary is around 40 or maybe 50 lakhs per annum. And avg is around 18 lakhs per annum. The percentage of placement is around 88%.

- I liked all the festivals that happens annually.
- I liked the environment which is always taken care of.
- I liked the schedule for each semester which had a lot to do with enjoyment.

- The main thing I dislike is curfew for girls.
- Also a bit strict with the library timings.

Course Curriculum Overview:
As for my metallurgical and materials engineering course, it's very understandable and contains subjects which is related to our life styles. The experiements are fun to enjoy during lab sessions. To my perspective there is no need of any improvements. The frequency and timings of exams are tentative according to the students wish. But within the scheduled week.

- The course plan is designed in a nice way that it enables u to fetch in depth knowledge of your course
- The diversity in culture . Students from all around the nation come here and u will get to hear multiple languages all around youself which helps in personality development
- Great placements and internship opportunities and great guidance by the seniors and professors
Dislikes
- The climate. It's super hot here in Trichy all along the year there are only two seasons summer and rain
- Discrimination and partiality is quite clearly visible among the locals and people from other states
- Travelling from north sides is the toughest part of being an nittian
Placement Experience:
From 5 th sem onwards they can sit for internships and after the end of 3 Rd year placements season starts which goes on for good 3-4 months with number of big companies visiting us. The opportunities are surplus .

- The first thing I like is the eco-friendly environment of my college. There is very less pollution.
- The thing for which we are here, placements. Placements are pretty good here.
- Our college give us various opportunities to build our career like management, software, analytics. the student who is in non- circuital branch can also make their career in software, analytics etc.
Dislikes
- The main thing which I dislike here is summer season which is too hot. Basically it is hot throughout the year
- Secondly, there is no good food stalls to eat something good.
- Rules and restrictions are there like we can't go out of the campus after 10 pm.

From 7 semester students are eligible for placements and our college placements are really good of almost 90 % placements rate. Higeat package vary every year 72-80 lpa as highest and 6 lpa as lowest package of our college. I planned to get placement from college itself after 7 th semester.

- QUALIFIED FACULTIES, the method they teach and taking the class throughout the semester helps us to understand the course in a better way
- COLLEGE ATMOSPHERE, the classrooms are very good as it gives good and peaceful vibe and also we do have department buildings which has specific labs
- INTERNSHIPS AND PLACEMENT OFFERS, we do have seperate placement cell which helps us in getting good placement and internship offers.
Dislikes
- No proper wifi facilities. We expect good wifi facilities in library and computer buildings to access it easily
- Maintainance of library. Library can be maintained in more specific way which helps us to get to know about many other books
- Few more computer centers. As most of the engineering students prefer working in system we expect more number of computer system buildings which will help us in various ways.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Courses are relevant and are available literally to every scope of interest of students. It provides opportunities to multiple domain people. Sources can be extensively provided instead of sharing Lectures in classes

- The expertise and knowledge the professors possess in their respective fields is actually top level and when you get to learn from them you see the course in a completely new light .
- Since the college admits some the top jee rankers the competition within a class is really high , which can push even an average student to give his best
- I feel apart from academics the extra curricular facilities and various clubs covering every domain possible give a student something to look forward to after your lectures
Dislikes
- Lack of proper infrastructure and a lot of waste land does not give the campus a very astethic look
- Less importance given to certain sports and improper maintainance of sports areas and equipments
- Bad internet and lack of constant drinking water provisions makes it somewhat hard to live on campus
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are offered by our college's training and placement cell .
Companies come in four domains - software role, branch core roles, analytics and management roles,
Students are eligible to sit for olacements in the 7th semester while some students get PPOs and have the option to sitout of final placements
Some of the big name companies that visit our campus are - GOOGLE , MICROSOFT , NVIDIA , ORACLE , AMAZON , TEXAS INSTRUMENTS , UBER, RUBRICS being some of the highest paying companies
Above 90% of the people sitting get placed with a average salary in software being of about 20 LPA
OVER 220 companies come and over 700 offers are given to students

- The facilities provided, such as classrooms, technology, department equipment, campus size and greenery are great. Placements are great and flawless
- Fests are amazing, social interactions between different cultures since people from different states, countries and cultures gather together.
Dislikes
- Campus roads are poorly maintained, lack of water irregularly, hostel maintenance is poor, location of the college itself is very bad.
Placement Experience:
Placements are good, over 90% of the students get placed annually with a median package of 12 lpa, over 500+ companies visit every year. Students become eligible for placements after their 6th semester, and after their 4th sem for internships, major companies like Microsoft hire upto a 52 lpa package, the highest so far has been 72 lpa.

- The faculties and curriculum is really nice.
- The club and communities in the college are too good.
- The Average packages offered are outstanding.
Dislikes
- The location of the College and the weather around.
- The campus size is problematic as we have to cyle a lot.
- The sports facilities and emphasis onto it is very less.

The placement records are outstanding and best in the NITs. Different branches have different Average packages and the least amoung them is about 13 lakhs per annum. The placement records are more than 96%.

What is your review about NIT trichy electronics and communication branch?

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.
All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).
Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.
The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.
Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!
