I get swami vivekananda merit cum scholarship which is very helpful for me.
Placements the placement for computer science and technology department is really appreciable and since it is a college of national importance, some really highy package giving companies come for placements and take a good handful number of student.
Campus is very green and lovely. you would surely love the experience.

Dislikes

The hostel facility is horrible in our college we don't have many single seater rooms there were very limited which intern causes disputes among students and the food facility was also not good it's really very hard
Actually hostel facilities is not good in indian institute of enginnering science and technology the maintainnace is poor and my college is in west bengal, shibpur and for me i dont like bengal food as i am from andhra pradesh.
The hostels are a bit bad in condition. one has to face some problems regarding stay.

College campus although infrastructure is old as college is old still i liked my college due to it's good and green Environment
Lots of cultural fests , good social environment and many clubs for all types of skills
Good Placement scenerio and qualified facilities.

Dislikes

Old infrastructure of college and hostel , and four occupancy in hostels .

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement after the 7th or 8th semester . All popular companies visit our college like Google, Microsoft, Indian oils, TATA steel, LnT, Texus, Accenture, TCS etc and more than 90 % of students are placed every year. All of the eligible students get decent placement in our college of all the branches. My plan is to get placement from the college.

Placement Experience:

1. Few students from 3rd year and maximum students from 4th year are become eligible for campus placement. 2. Microsoft cognizant IBM Oracle Google Atlassian Wells Fargo TCS and many more reputed companies come here. No of offer is very good. Last year 776 placement offers come to here. 3. Average package is depends on branch for cst it is 19LPA for IT it is near about same. And other branches it is little bit low. 4. 80 - 88 percent students get placed. 5. Placement in a reputed companies.

Supportive seniors who are willing to help you out in personal and academic pursuits
Core placements being one of the best with good packages
Infrastructure rapidly improving with donations from alumni

Really slow pace of work in infrastructure improvement
Strict on campus policy of one offer per student
Strict attendance issues and inefficient administration

Placement Experience:

Students after 6th semester become eligible for placements and usually people grab internships at the end of 4th semester in higher educational institutions or relevant workplaces. Frequent industrial visits are also organised by the TPO. This year placements went really well with average package across departments about 12 lpa and 80 percent placement overall....for cse/it avg package was 19 lpa ..foe etce 16.5 lpa for ee 10 lpa for mech/civil/min/mme 8.5 lpa and aerospace around 7 lpa. placements were great in both core and non core sector, with google, amazon, Microsoft offering PPOs in certain cases and tata steel, abg, coal india,lnt offering good core packages

Nothing much to dislike. Institute can try to expand and modify the curriculum a little bit.

Placement Experience:

Good placement records. As expected from a good Institute. Many students also pursue higher studies. There is good research culture. The highest Domestic package is more than 40 lpa and the lowest by mass recruiters.

True and on ground reporting the realities of my collage

Big classrooms and lots of hostals and good sports facility
Study is decent and teachers or average but some are super duper great
Biriyani is there two times every months .

Dislikes

Some seniors are trying to be oversmart and have attitude.
Some begali people try to be oversmart and they also cheat if the become mess manager or hostal gmcr
Outside the campus there is very less variety of fast foods . Like they only provides rools and samosas and all that which is very unhealthy. Fruit juice is very less available and it is expensive also

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is decent around every year 45 laks is our highest package offered by Microsoft. Other companies like taxes provide around 25 lakh to electrical and electronics students and the median package is around 7.3 lakh.

College campus is beautiful with a lot of greenery and natural beauty
The campus life is very good. There are a lot of things to explore.
The hostel is literally the best i can assure you that.

Dislikes

Old infrastructure and lack of proper maintenance of the campus
The hostels needs to be renovated they are too old
Number of faculty members needs to be increased.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be honest the only i took electronics and telecommunication as my btech subject was that i was kind of electrical concepts of our JEE syllabus and i also had interests in coding and from my senior i got to know that electronics syllabus has both. So to be on a safer side i took electronics and telecommunication. Now for my college the electronics department is good , this can be inferred from this years placement stats. The avg ctc offered was 17.5lpa from our department. The batch strength in our electronics department is 66 in our college and there are 24 faculty members in department all the faculties have great educational qualifications. I don't know in detail about there qualifications but if you want you refer to our college website for further details about the professors. Now talking about the semester exam...if one wants good cgpa he/she should study seriously from the very beginning but yeah in college everyone start studying just 1 month before the exams

I like collage placement in our IT department its avg package appreciate 19.5lp .i like it and their are so many good companies are visiting our clg for placement.

Dislikes

I dislike infrastructure of our clg because there are so many place are empty in which good thing to do at a place and they does open Gym and swimming pool for students.

Placement Experience:

In our collage I think from 6-7 Sem studente become eligible for campus placements.there are so many companies are visiting in our clg like google ,microsoft etc.from our department 120 offer are provided to students. According to previous year from our department heighest package is 54lp and average package is 19.5lp. In our clg 86% are place in it department. My plane is getting good job from any good IT company .

The most thing that I liked is nature and beauty of campus.
The college has it self 4 lakes which makes it more beautiful

Placement Experience:

After the fourth Semester means completion of 2nd year student can be eligible for placement. The overall placement percentage is 83%. The highest placement is received by a mechanical student of 1.13 crore.

Placement is quite good. Average package of Computer Science and Technology department for the year 2023 is 20+ LPA which is higher than many other NITs. 75 students out of 90 got a package of above 8 LPA.

One of my friends is a final-year student at IIEST Shibpur. According to him, the placement last year has been great. Microsoft IDC (PPO), Mentor Graphics, CESC Ltd (PPO), Tata Steel (PPO), Bentley Systems completed their recruitment process on campus and hired more candidates than they did last year. Companies like Atlassian, Samsung R&D, and PwC are also expected to recruit on campus. A brief discussion about placements and other aspects of the institute are as follows.

Placements:

Pre-final year students got internship offers from various firms like Microsoft R&D, Deutsche Bank, Wells Fargo, and Texas Instruments this year. Other firms which will be having on-campus recruitment will most likely be hiring interns also. Hence, needless to mention that the placement scenario has continued its trend of improvement this year as well.
Students have been hired in companies like Microsoft IDC, Cognizant, Samsung R&D, Infosys, TCS Research and Innovation, Z. S. Associates, etc. from campus placements. Off-campus placements also include Google (Bangalore).
The median salary that has been offered is around 7 LPA and every one of the scholars participating in placements got placed. The placement cell improved and has become more proactive and efficient in training and placement of scholars.

Infrastructure:

All departments, libraries and hostels are Wi-Fi enabled with decent speeds. The Science and Technology Department features a 1Gigabit backbone network.
The rooms and labs are well maintained and have all the specified equipment. The central library is not extremely big but features a good assortment of useful titles. There are smaller departmental libraries also.
The hostels are decent and clean but might be improved. They need indoor game facilities also. A replacement hostel for women has just been built and features a far better review.
There are multiple canteens on Campus serving good quality food at reasonable rates and a CCD stall with significantly cheaper rates than usual.
Other amenities include Gymnasium, Sports fields, Court and Infirmary.

Faculty:

The college consists of highly qualified and knowledgeable teachers. They clear the doubts if consulted. Most teachers teach using both chalkboard and multimedia aids.
There are multiple teachers and other lab assistants to guide the students during the lab classes.
The course curriculum is aligned with most other national institutions and contains the essential topics necessary for the course.

The campus is lush green and located on the bank of the river Ganges. Right beside the institute is Botanical Gardens. Many events take place at the institute all year around. There are annual Techno-Management fest Instruo, Annual Cultural fests Rebecca and Anuranan, and departmental fests. Besides that, there are also sports events. Meritorious students can avail scholarships sponsored by the Alumni Association.
