I am a first year student and I don't know much about it. But mostly students can get placed from third year only. As per my knowledge 100 percent students get placed in Vit chennai. I will pursue my education after completing my btech course.

- At times, the academic workload can be intense, leading to stressful periods for students. Balancing coursework and extracurricular activities can be challenging.
- Infrastructure Challenges - While the overall infrastructure is good, there are occasional challenges, such as crowded libraries during peak times or issues with hostel facilities. These could be areas for improvement.
- Limited Flexibility - Made changes these days in FFCS system where, some students may find the course structure to be relatively rigid, with limited flexibility in choosing electives.

Placement Experience:
At VIT University, the journey towards placements kicks off from the 5th sem, opening doors to exciting opportunities for internships and job placements. The campus witnesses the presence of top-notch companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, PayPal, Walmart, among others, offering numerous job opportunities. The 2023 placements at VIT Vellore set an impressive benchmark with the highest package reaching INR 1.02 cr per annum and an average of INR 8 LPA. Around 85% of students, excluding those pursuing higher studies, found their career paths through placements. Personally, I'm eyeing entrepreneurship post-degree, wanting to use what I've learned to start something meaningful. VIT's stellar placement record reflects not just numbers but a commitment to shaping promising futures for its graduates.

- In VIT I like the greenery in campus and beautiful campus.
- The room and washroom are good and cleaning facility is also good.
- The quality of food they provided is ok.
Dislikes
- They didn't allow to go out .. if we are having any work then we have to follow long procedure everytime and because of that we are many time unable to do many work.
- They are not having proper mart for everything.
- They are very strict in regarding everything even if anyone is shaking hand them they'll notice it and sometimes it may create problem.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students are available for campus placements.
Intel, eBay, Amazon, Dell, GE, Texas Instruments, Schneider Electric, DE Shaw & Co, Hitachi, HP, PayPal, Tata Motors, L&T, Dr. Are the companies that visited in vit Chennai and 4,375 offers were given .
Highest package was 75 lacks and offered by paypal and average package is 8.19 lpa.
Approx 70% student get placed every year.
I will take a placement and after some years with having money I'll start entrepreneurship.

- Very nice campus with good infrastructure
- Nice teachers as well study opputunities offered
- Good coding culture available and good and decent clubs engaged in various fests
Dislikes
- You cant go outside of campus in 1st semester also you can go outside after 1st sem but too much restrictions
- Too much competition due to too much strength of students

- The infrastructure of Vit is pretty good.It is a green campus and there are a lot of places where you can go sit and relax.
- There are a lot of fest and events happening in VIT everyday.
- The faculties and staffs are extremely kind.
Dislikes
- There are a lot of dogs and I am personally afraid of dogs
- There is a huge competition in VIT.You have to hunt for opportunities
Course Curriculum Overview:
I wanted to do BTech computer Science as it is a relevant course in this technical era In VIT there are about 2000 students in Computer science department.Each class consists of 60 students with a faculty for each subject. The faculties are well equipped and we have Fully Flexible Credit System where we can choose our faculties. The exams are timely .We have three exams in a sem. And the structure of exams is well defined.Relative grading is a boon for us.

I heard many companies come to college for placements highest average packege was something 55 lacs according to college percentage is 80%. I will take job after getting the degree and if possible i will do my masters with my own money

After 5 sem student can see there pre placement offer and after that you can obatin offer after 7 or 8 semester and percentage is 100 percent guarantee for cse students and others also can easily get the job

- I like the supporting staff and faculty, whom you can approach during any time of the day. Most of them will stand by you, and help with difficult concepts and clarify any doubts.
- The college also boasts state of the art facilities like a massive library and multiple labs for each subject. The campus is also lush in green, and is very welcoming.
- The teachers help you publish papers and take up projects which help you gain experience, interest and knowledge for the subject.
Dislikes
- I dislike the strict adherance to attendance policies and in time for hostellers
- I dislike the fact that they frown upon boys and girls sitting and having a chat with each other.
Placement Experience:
VIT boasts itself when it comes to placements. Students start getting offers form companies around the 6th semester. Companies like TATA, Mahindra, Cognizant, among many other, come to our college for recruitements. Since I do not the exact figures with me, I refuse to make claims about the highest and average packages offered. The college promises a 100% placement record. I although, plan to not sit for placements, and want to persure higher studies.

In terms of academics, Amrita University matches the IIT syllabus and course structure. The infrastructure and laboratories are in good condition. The college works closely with businesses and other educational institutions. Many academic activities are being carried out to ensure effective information exchange.
College life is the most interesting part. Amrita University's Coimbatore campus is one of the cleanest in India and spans 500 acres. Amrita is a very diverse campus and a great place to make new friends. There is no such constraint. Cell phones are not permitted in the classroom. However, after leaving the classroom, you can talk to your loved ones. A minimum attendance requirement of 80% must be met, or you must present sufficient justification for your absence.
Amrita provides free wifi that is typically 0.5Mbps fast. Aside from YouTube, Facebook, and a few other sites, most academic content is available. Everything else is restricted. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served. The menu is adequate for a South Indian restaurant. If you are a traveler, you will have enough vacation time in Amrita to visit all of India in two years. The resident warden must grant permission for the outing. Every time a girl needs an outing pass, she must submit a fax from her parents. You can earn millions if you plan on participating in and winning every cultural event that is held there. It is an excellent world-class platform for showcasing and honing your skills.
This academic year, Atlassian is the employer with the highest salary on offer to Amrita students, with a staggering 52 lakhs offered annually. Microsoft offered 43 lakhs per year in salary, while Cisco hired 27 students at a CTC of 29.18 lakhs per year.
According to the most recent report, the highest and average compensation packages offered during the 2022 placement drive were INR 19.17 LPA and INR 6.72 LPA, respectively.
