Gargi College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students are eligible for internships from the first semester itself. However, for campus placements only third year student batches are eligible. Gargi College is visited by Big 4's like Deloitte, KMPG, Mckinsey, Accenture and also Byju, Mahindra, Tata, and other marketing/financial investing firms. Almost 25% (50+) students were admitted to Big 4 companies. Highest starting package 12 - 15 lacs per annum and average package 1.5 - 2 lac per annum. Moreover, after completion of my degree, I wish to pursue Masters in International Journalism.

Yes the students from the first sems themselves become eligible for internship and to work with the placement cells of the college. Several companies have visited our campus like LG, Exide, Infosys with the package of 20lac and 12lac pa. Around 70% of the students who applied for the placements procedure got placed. I got placed in KPMG with an average salary package of 3.6 LPA. Other companies, like EY, ITC, Wipro, etc., visited our campus for placements. Internships opportunities provided here are also very nice. My plans after a degree were to go for MBA and get into an IIM.

College placements usually start from the 5th semester. I don't know much about the college placement as I am not a part of the placement cell and I haven't been into a placement drive. I want to pursue MBA after getting my degree.

I wanted to do something unique. In our class, we have 32 students. Lab staffs are good and helpful. Experiments are done well. Most of the professors have done PHD and they teach really well. The teaching method is also good. Term exams are difficult for me though. It happens twice a year though internal class tests happen quite a lot.

I chose this course because I wanted to build my career as a psychologist. The class size is 50 plus. The Faculty of the college is good. The teachers are friendly and helpful. They provide good study material and are open to queries. The Course curriculum is as per Delhi University guidelines, so it will be the same in all the other DU colleges. The faculty is well qualified and their teaching method is also very decent. Examinations are conducted in the best possible way. One is the final semester exams, mid-term exams, and sometimes class tests for practice. The quality of the examination paper is good in terms of questions and content.

I'm currently going to start with my third year and as far as I'm aware, placements start to post the final year. I am not much aware of this field. I'm planning to pursue my master's post-graduation from a college that I desire.

From the 3rd year, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, etc visit our campus. The maximum package was app. 24 lacs and the minimum was 6 lac. It is up to your course, the annual package depends on your background. Almost 80% of the students got placed. I want to continue my studies with the german language and do masters in that and get proper command and do masters in that and make a career as an interpreter.

Students can apply for placements from 5th semester only. Lots of reputed companies visit our campus. Highest package last to last year was 19 lakhs(2019) I don't know the highest package of 2020 but placements were good. I am planning to pursue MBA after graduation and will give a try and will sit for the placements as well.

The placements are good but not for every program like they do offer to sit in the placements for every course students but the companies which come for recruitment are mainly looking for students from commerce background. I am not saying that people from other courses do not get placed at all but if you're from a commerce background there is a high chance for you to get placed.
