- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

- Hostel life with friends is the most important thing in my college journey that i enjoyed the most.
- Faculties are nice and some take a lot of interest to teach.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is really poor for overall hostel and campus.
- There is no real choice of course if the cgpa is low.
Placement Experience:
Students can apply for campus internships from there 5ths sem of B.Tech. Campus placements starts from 7th sem. This year no FAANG companies because of recession but last year they gave internships. The highest package is around 52lpa. I am placed so my plans are to join the company and start my professional career.

- Teachers and facilities are good for myself
- I like the campus and it's enchanting beauty
- I like the social activity and multiple sports options are there
Dislikes
- I don't like mainly the hostel food it's consumable but it's not not good at all
- The hostels available in the campus are good but it's old
- I don't like the semester timing according to other colleges it have to be 6 month but here it's finish at around 4 month
Placement Experience:
The placement is good ,but you have maintain if there is any backlog some company does not allow for it application. The highest package is around 30LPA and average is around 9LPA in my department. I'm thinking about higher study after my bachelors.

- The college life is enjoyable and you can do anything for your improvement.
- The availablity of all the things just outside the campus or in the radius of 1 km.
- The semester exams are very easy and the questions are for the masses.
Dislikes
- Club culture: Where You have to have a particular knowledge from the begining.
- The number of cultural events are very less.
- The facilities in the gym is very less and the machines are very old and also the space is very small.

From the 7th semester, the placement starts. In 2023 85% of the students got placed and around 200 companies came for the placement. Highest package is around 80 lakh and average is around 8 laks. I will be going or civil services after the course.

- Hostels and Classes are well managed and clean
- Placements are very good and almost all of our batch got placed
Dislikes
- Library is not available 24/7 for students which is a problem
- Night canteens are not available for students which is very much neeeded

Placements are pretty good, better than most other colleges. Average package offered is more than ten lakhs per annum. highest packages are from microsoft and atlassian , more than fifty lakhs per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The reason i choose the course was beacuse i have always been a computer fanatic and the cse and a very bright future ahead.
The faculty is very nice and the ration of boys and girls is more the boys side.
All the teachers have a great amount of knowledge in their fields and most of them funds research.
The exams happens manily 3 times a semester. The first is CA for 15 marks , mid sem for 25 marks and end sem for 60 marks.
The exams are not that difficult you attend the lecture or gather your information for elsewhere as teachers encourage us to gather information from not only in classes but by books and other mediums too.

- COLLEGE PLACEMENT IS VARY BAD AND OUR DEPERTMENT PLACEMENT ALSO VERY BAD
- SOME PROFESSOR ARE VERY STRICK. THEY GIVE VERY LESS MARKS
- SCHLORSHIP DEPERTMENT STAFF ARE VERY LASY. NEED MANY TIME FOR SCHLORSHIP VARIFICATION.
Placement Experience:
1. 6 SEMESTER STUDENTS ARE ALSO ELIGIBLE FOR A FEW PLACEMENT COMPANY.
2. RELIANCE, HCL, TATA, TCS, PHYCISWALA, AKASH.
3. THE HIGHEST PACKAGE IS 80 LPA AND THE AVERAGE PACKAGE IS 6 LPA
4. 60% STUDNET GOT PACED.

- I liked it's campus and many activities which arranged by the clubs on the weekend
- Some of the hostels of campus is very old it's made of 1960.
- Campus life is also very chill along with study no more academic
Dislikes
- Nothing to do innovative and creative with academic study
- Placement records till now is also good every years 85 to 90 percentage records with average package between 12 to 15 lpa
- Infrastructure is very good and course and materials availablity is very good
Course Curriculum Overview:
1.I choosed the metallurgical and materials Engineering Department in Nit DGP. I interested in study the concept of metals
and its properties because its use in real world for building infrastructure and its very important to development for technology.
2. Faculty are very good with behavior and knowledge in their specific field. Ratio for faculty to student in the college is 1:21.
3. Faculty qualification is Nit/iit PHD and many of also from took degree from foreign institution.

- From 3rd year you have freedom to leave and entry in college as per your wish
- Seniors are helpful and will guide you .
Dislikes
- Professors will no help you for your placements
- Lots of classes and labs and very few holidays
- You have to pay hostel fees either you stay or not
Placement Experience:
Internships are less but placements are good.
From 5th sem you are eligible for internships but from 7th you are eligible for placements .
I can't tell the name of each company but you have lots of companies to choose but maintain your CGPA
Highest 70 lakh per annum and average 13.6 lakh per annum

- There are various sightseeing present near NIT campus like City Center
Dislikes
- Hostel rooms are very average and mess food quality need to be improve.
Placement Experience:
Placement season starts from our 7th semester .
Companies like Microsoft, Oracle,JPMC, Natwest, Wells Fargo, PWC ,Deloitte, ITC, BPCL etc visit our campus in every year.
highest package is around 51LPA.
More than 85 percent students get placed in every academic year.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
