- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
- Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.
- Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.
Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Placement Experience:
Placement are decent. Students in 7th semester end are eligible for their placements. Companies like Microsoft, Google etc visited campus which gave 44LPA, 60LPA respectively. Highest package was for quant profile with 2.4Cr internationally and 1.1Cr Domestic offered by Rubrik US and Alphagrep respectively. Average package for SDE role was not disclosed by college. 85%students were placed in BTech. I will continue my job after degree.

- Campus: Indian institute of Technology Guwahati is having the best campus all over india. We live in the most beautiful and mesmerizing campus of india.
- Culture: Institute is having a great culture of celebrating festivals of all religions .
- Placements: Afterall all we need is a high salary when we graduate. And institute provides it every time.
Dislikes
- Location: After being most beautiful campus in india..we need to travel a long distance to went city
- Food: After being foodie . I dint got that tasty street food neither in campus nor in entire guwahati city.
- Academics : after qualifying the toughest exam of india we need to carry on that stuggle to score well in college exams
Placement Experience:
We are having great placements. Afterall we all know about iit placements . We are having a high average package every year. Almost 100% placements , many students have pre placement offers. Highest package reaches 2cr every year.

- Like liking away from home we often miss mom's food
- Sometimes we miss festivals due to distance problem
- Some friends are addicted with wrong addiction

There are lots of opportunities after being graduated from iits and world welcomes u with both arms open to hire u in any respective and interested field also in 4 th year students sit for placement and they get high paying jobs

Campus placement of iitg is best across all the iits 98 percentage of the students are getting placed every year with the highest package is 2.4

- Faculty and Staff- Almost all faculty I have met are quiet friendly and always ready to help with academic and career guidance
- Fests and Club- Majority of the fests and clubs are organized by students and administration are negligibly involved.
- Grading and Marking-There is enough transparency in grading and marking.
Dislikes
- Girls students are more favored over boys in clubs and societies of college.
- Little difficult for outside the sports club member to play that game at desired time.
Placement Experience:
Placements are good enough and not to worry if you are average or above average students. Although many below average students are also placed but these year it has been little difficult due to recession periods. From 7th semester onward students are eligible for campus placement.Before placement try to grab atleast one internship.Top recruiters like google ,microsoft ,mercedes, Bajaj, HPCL etc. Highest package are usually offered above one crore by domestic company and above 2 crore by international company. Percentage placement for UG B. Tech is approx 89% across al branch and profiles. I am willing to secure placement and join software company after graduation.

- Our college has one of the most beautiful campus in india a green lush campus spreading over 700 acres.
- We have a tradition of travelling with bicycle nobody can keep motor vehickes among students so it helps us in the hectic schedule to be healthy
- Clubs and societies continuoously conduct the events through which they provide tge oppurtunities to explore the field of intersts of students
Dislikes
- Many of the students traps into addiction of liqour atarts smoking which is sort of sin about hostel culture
- Schedule is too hectic and uncertain for clubs and sports
- Some faculties are too stubborn and they sort of have their own rules of marking and grading

After the 7th semester they become eligible for the campus placements, almost 100 percent who want to be placed get campus placements. We have a high number of PPOs and offers with highest of 2 and a half crore nearly every year internationally and 1 and a half crore domestic packages.

Campius placements happen in 7th semester in the month of december. In chemical 87percent got placed last year. Avg package 1800000 pa. Highest 50lakh pa. Big companies recruit like google microsoft bcg

- It's placements stats is quite good you know, one of the main reason why people want to come in IITs.
- You can develop your personality here in various aspects like you'll confident enough to tackle your problems on your own.
- And the time you spend with your friends, it's quite underrated but yeah it is one of the best things!
Dislikes
- Sometimes, the atmosphere around here becomes so toxic that you'll think of quitting IITs.
- One more harsh reality that you'll have to handle a lot of mental pressure here, which sometimes some people aren't capable of and they do something which they shouldn't had done.
- And the weather over here is quite irritating.
Course Curriculum Overview:
See, like I didn't chose this curriculum because I liked it but because of the rank I got in JEE ADVANCED, whatever was better for I went for that!
After coming to college, I understood that this is quite good course and also faculties are quite helpful.
Ahh the student ratio, it is around 3-4:1, speaking more about faculties, they have mostly studied from abroad and their teaching method is quite different from what you have been going through in your school and coaching centre, and the most important part exams, these were the nights where we engineers don't sleep much cause of the pressure of the examination, like we don't study on a regular basis so we have to study for whole night before exams and you can actually pass exam easily if you regularly attend the lectures and study for atleast 2 days beforehand examination.

- Campus life- After giving jee i had a real fun in my campus ,it feels like home there .You meet a lot of nice people there that really make your day.
- Sports culture - sports culture of iit guwahati is really good .
- Peer Group -peer group that you get in iit guwahati is praisable .

- Sometimes you will feel home sickness that what i donot like thare .
- food-i didn't like the mess food of IIT GUWAHATI
- Exam curricullum - in mid and end semester you 'll have to give exams for the next 6-7 days that is very hectic . You'll not get time for pee too.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose for PHYSICS branch then I changed to Chemical Engineering after my first year.
You'll find some teachers descent and some are extraordinary talented they have a vast knowledge of subject and are also involved in research.
Passing exam is quite easy even if you had not stuf=died well for the whole semester.

- Hostel Life, friends feels like family, you do all the sort of things that you do in home, like celebrating festivals, going to trips.
- Classes, some of the professors really teaches very well and make their subject very interesting.
- Campus surrounded by nature's beauty you don't wanna leave

- Isolated from city, no interaction with people outside the college.
- Internet speed sucks in some hostel rooms
Placement Experience:
Placement in tech-branches is very high, you can see few students from tech get crores of packages, in non-core branches if you opt for tech placements and has a good cpi then there must be a chance you will grab a good package else you have to go with core companies which don't offer good package for freshers but you will have good growth once you get in core industry
