a new branch in svnit college

Likes

placements are very good at college we have 18 lakhs as average salary which is pretty good
the locality of the campus is very nice exact middle of the city. can accesses anything
the college life is cool no ragging and no bad things happen here. from very part of india student came here to study

Dislikes

groupism is there hindi vs other language is ther no respect for other culture peple.
the faculty is not up to the mark classes happen in very boring and the paper are tough
there not much foe non veg lover as there is only veg dishes are served

Placement Experience:

our college is well know for the placement. for 4th sem we can seat for internship oppourtunities.and at 4th year we have placement of 18 lakh average salary for cse and my branch is ai which is new to college u we can approcimate of 17 to 18 lakh as Average salary.highest package is 48 lakh

Review of Department of Artificial Intelligence

Likes

The locality. SVNIT is located at the center of the city surat which makes it easy to buy any neccessities.
The people here a warming and welcoming.
Good Campus,with greenary everywhere,and the Climate here is also good.

Dislikes

The distance from Hostel to academic blocks is about 1-1.5km , which makes it difficult if you want to reach your class fast.
Poor department. The dept of AI, is new so it doesnt have a permanent building.
No auditorium which makes it difficult to conduct gatherings and convocation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cource is well designed and upto the date with all the advancements in Artificial Intelligence. The cource in the first year Would contain all the fundementals like Mathematics required for Learning Machine learning Algorithms. The Facults here are OK . The effort from the students is greater than the efforts from faculty.

Decent Campus Life, the location of the college is very good. Everything available in near distance.
Some of the faculties are very good. Highly experienced and knowledgeable.
Placements for the core sector is good which is a very positive news.

Dislikes

Not great in infrastructure. There is no central building for Mechanical Engineering Branch.
Very bare minimum sports facilities. The admin is not that supporting in case of attendance.
Very less support in modern fields and technologies for interested students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are fairly good. Mostly for the core sector. Though the packages are not that high but you still get something out of the placements. Not many PSU's come for placements but the ones that come give a very good package to a few students.

Likes

Campus greanry and classrooms and faculties
In the campus ground are very big we can play easily
Faculties are good behaviour with students

Dislikes

The fees is too high for poor student and
Ground is very big but not so good for me
The room are small for living so we have to adjest

Placement Experience:

Around 8 semester for btech for msc it takes 10 semester Allen, gogle , motion, resonance pw etc comy come here and offers around 2 Highest is around 20 lakh per year and avg package is around 5 lak per year 70%of student get placements from hear Two get job in nasa

An honest review of SVNIT by a student

Likes

The campus is good and very relaxing. Most importantly the seniors are very supportive
The faculties are also good. They provide notes and everything related to our studies and make it easier
Placement is not so good for physics course.

Dislikes

The ground is good but the infrastructure is lacking. Regarding the size of the college the infrastructure does not meet the expectations
It would be better if the course is changed to btech from msc. Like from physics to engineering physics

Placement Experience:

For msc students, campus placement is available in the last semester ie 10th. Many teaching platforms like physics wallah, Unacademy are coming. Highest package is around 12 LPA and average is around 6 LPA Only 5-10 percent students get placement for msc After the degree my plan is to complete the PhD and become a professor

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i love in solving data and playing with numbers 60-70 % of faculty members are awesome they want to teach but some came to fulfill their attendance in the class. All faculty members are very famous not in our college but in foreign university also.some are gold medalist in their field. In my college are exams are pre sheduled and its not difficult to pass in the college .you just fell that you are in your School.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college has good placement history.The faculty are well qualified and friendly and the faculty to student ratio is 1:8 ratio is quite good. In a year there are 2 semester and each consists of a mid term and end term and a well prepared students can easily pass.

I like professors of NIT Surat and their teaching style,
I like hostel of NIT Surat and mesh of NIT Surat because
I like sports facility and fist conducted by NIT Suraturat

Dislikes

I don't like infrastructure of NIT Surat
I don't like ground of NIT Surat because it is not maintained properly
I don't like classes of NIT Surat because some classes are very old

Placement Experience:

The placement record of NIT Surat is also very good and student after 4th year individual for placement but student can also earn money through internship after 1st year. And their so many company visited in our NIT student such as John Deere, Nvidia, Tata Mahindra, Reliance, etc. And they give very good placement to students; the average placement of NIT Surat is approx 7 to 8 lakh per annum and percentage of student placed is approx 80 to 85 percent. The highest placement of NIT Surat is approx 51 lakh in in 2023 and it is of an electronics and communication engineering student and average placement of our NIT student is 7 to 8 lakh per annum. My plan after getting degree in b.tech in Mechanical engineering is to give UPSC examination and become a government officer.

SVNIT Surat College Review in detail.

Likes

Location of campus is very good.It is in the main city and there are many places to explore nearby.
Hostel facility is very good . I liked the Hostel as well as mess
Sports facility is also decent you can play any type of game you want.

Dislikes

In cultural fest, the fund for fest is low so big celebrities like Arijit Singh can't be afforded by College.
The maintainence of buildings not not that godd,they must be painted regularly.
The main gate of campus closes at 10 pm after than you have to give reason for entry or exit

Placement Experience:

Placement is average as compared to other colleges. Students are eligible for placement in 7th semester. Almost all majors companies have visited the campus some of them are: Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, De Shaw,Bajaj,J.P.Morgan,L&T, Infosys, TCS , Accenture,Paytm,AxisBank, JSW, adani, reliance, Tata, Godrej, ITC, IBM ICICI Bank and many more. 900 to 1000 offers were made Higest Package of Rs. 44.00 lakhs per annum offered to 1 student by Microsoft. Average package is 8.9 lakhs per annum. About 75% students get placed.

SVNIT College review

Likes

Hostel facilities are very good in our college
Campus is also spacious and very large around 250 acres
No ragging takes place in our college,safe environment

Dislikes

Coding culture among first years is less
Sports goods are less available as compared to the number of students
College playground is not well maintained.

Placement Experience:

Students mainly become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year. Various mncs visit our college campus like samsung,Qualcomm, l&t, HCl, Apollo,etc. I will directly sit for placements after 4th year. Percentage of students getting placed is around 80-85 percent.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
