Campus is huge, location is superb, have a great night life, lots of place to explore
Good network connectivity, friendly people
Highly qualified faculties and good class condition

Dislikes

Some faculties are just the worst and don't give attendance for medical issues
Some buildings are still under construction
At some hostels the mess food is not that good

Placement Experience:

From fourth year onwards students start giving interviews for campus placement and in case of integrated MSC students most opt for PhD and some for out of campus placement, if you have a good. Cgpa you'll get placed at some firm, atleast you'll get placed at a teaching firm with a not so bad package

A Brief review of SVNIT SURAT by a first year student

Likes

I liked greenery of my college surrounded by trees every where which is very pleasant
college is located at heart of the the Surat city.we have online services available and is convenient.
encouraging students in actively participating in events sports etc..

Dislikes

academically college life is stressfull and rigid
proper maintainance of our department is not maintained
non veg is not provided.only boiled egg is provided once in a week

Placement Experience:

highest pakages offered was 4400000 per annum and and average was 1600000 per annum. Since i am still a first year i have no idea about placements etc... after getting a degree i will either prepare to give civil services or other engineering exams as GATES etc and prefer to do job in core.

Likes

College timings and hostel facilities are too good.
College staff and management staff is too supportive.
College library is one of the best for study in college.

Dislikes

College exam timings and schedule is not proper.
College parking facilities are poor. Roads are not good
College hostel mess facilities are weak sometimes.

Placement Experience:

Placements ratio is good in college. Anyone who cleared 4 semester without any backlog are able to sit in placement and internships. There are almost 95 perce ts students avail placements through campus interviews .

Likes

College Technical fest 'Mind bend' and club activities.
Campus greenery and it's location. It is located near main road connectivity with airport.
Hostel facilities. Hostel provides each student bed, chair and table for proper study.

Dislikes

Management of courses and teaching staff, the course are too long but time of sester is too short.
Management of exam timings and. Paper way of asking questions.
Plantation management is too weak, not having maintenance for proper college garden .

Placement Experience:

Students after completing 4th semester are able to sit in campus interviews for internship and placements. There are so many companies visited in college every year. The list is provided on the website of college. The highest packaged offered is 44 lakh and average package is around 8 to 10 lakh.

Likes

The environment of the college is good. Greenary of the college is Fabolous.
Canteen food is good and affordable. Many stalls are also near about the college
Library is the one of the best place of our campus

Dislikes

Mostly buildings are under construction.
Cleaning of the campus should be improve.
Festival celebration (garba) is the worst.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements after sixth semester. Mostly popular companies visited the campus like reliance, l and T, jhondeere etc. Average package is about 5 to 8 lac per annum.

A college life is never forgettable

I loved to be the part of NCC and contributed everything for the welfare for the society
The overall campus is well maintained which glorifies the beauty

Dislikes

The strength of building is not much more
Clerks do not respond as fast as possible

From 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. JP Morgan Chase, Barclays , VISA, Deloitte,etc made offers of in the range of 12-25lpa.highest package offered was 29 lpa by VISA and average package offered is 13 lpa.84% students get placed.

The clubs, the committees, different student chapters
The library is really a pretty place to hang out and study
The feats conducted and various workshops

Dislikes

Construction that goes on all the time in the campus
The in time and curfew for girls hostel and not for boys
The biasness at times between the wardens and by faculty

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was good enough as I saw that several other colleges provided a similar curriculum for the same course that I m studying. But at times the faculties weren't that interactive and many a times left it to the students.

Academic pressure to much. In all nits this is problems

From 7th sem students are eligible for placements.top companies that visited our campus are Google Microsoft vipro Deloitte meesho.highest package is 52 lakh and average package is 10lakh.90%studentes are placed.

REVIEWING SVNIT

Likes

Cultural fest of svnit is biggest and i like these 4 days of joy very much.
Technical fest is very good and feels very good when we manage it.
Hostel life is very good and full of joy.

Dislikes

The 75 percentage attendance criteria is very annoying sometimes.
Mess facility and quality of food is not same in all hostels.
The continuous evaluation is not provided.

Placement Experience:

College placement record for svnit is good in past years. In mechanical we have around 90 percent placement with 7 lac average package offered. Companies like amazon, flipkart, Delloite, John Deere, l&t, etc visit every year.

Campus library, all student get hostel, hostel facility is also ok , luss green campus,
There is no ragging in campus, senior is just like friends, bhartiya culture is celebrated and respected
Scholarship, bank loan, most important club of SVNIT chintan pratishthan,

Dislikes

Corruption, state politics since last two years which is motivated by Rajasthani people,
Campus Life is not good as expected, in campus that is only one lawn which is also small
Building self life is too short there is so much corruption, no sports culture

Placement Experience:

In final year of course ( for b.tech after completing 6th semester) student are eligible for campus placement. Highest placement for civil engineering branch this year is 20LPA. Avg package is 8 LPA for civil engineering department. Average package for coding company is good. It's approx 10 to 12 LPA. Company visted -- l& t, tcs,infocis, byjus, etc Other u check on college website. branch wise placement percentage is different. For computer science it's 100% . My plan is to get coding placement.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
