Nice And sweet college

Likes

Nice friends from all over India and great network with allumini
Nice Technical clubs help me to increase the technical skills
Nice accademics help me in preparation of GATE

Dislikes

Campus is not well maintained and every where construction is going on
Not allowing food delivery in hostel, only big basket is available
In 1st year curfew timming where 7pm which was too early for boys

Course Curriculum Overview:

Courses are designed very nicely,all professor are well qualified and have done their PHD from well known institutes and Also helping in the Preparation of GATE, providing perfect material and guidance for the future

Likes

I liked the campus greenery infrastructure
The departments are well maintained in context of cleanliness.
The campus is not that big so there is no need to buy cycle.

Dislikes

Mess food is not that good and water quality is also good
Some departments won't consider your attendance if you for any type if project.
Some professors are very particular in case of attendance.

Placement Experience:

Placement rate in our college is 60-70% . In our college there is one TNP Cell which helps people in internships and placements. Also companies coming for placement demand position of responsibility and some good projects of the domain in which one want to get placed.

Review on Admission and College LIfe in SVNIT, Surat.

Likes

Environment of the college. Peacocks can be seen passing the roads inside the college.
Infrastucture of the college departments.
Some of the college faculty are very supportive and helping.

Dislikes

No provisional stores inside the college.
Security is not so good as compared to the level of the college.
The college administration is least supportive.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internships form the ending of second year where as the for campus placements eligibity is 7th semester. Companies visiting for recruitment are John Deere, L & T, ONGC, TCS, Infosys are some of the major recruiters.

Likes

Seniors are very helpful and very interactive
There are very grateful minds here helps to achieve our goals
Some of the professors are very helpful .

Dislikes

Infrastruture is shit and not good at all
Some of the courses are very shitty and not relevant at all
Sports facility is very poor even the Gymkhana

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curiculum is not fixed every year it changes though some of the subjects are not found relevant some times to the xirebi wanna learn about but there is no such thing being so specific about some topics and it's not executable

It is very good for me as I can give you a feedback of my college

I like the environment of campus, our well furnished department and good infrastructure of hostel
I like the technical club, we are learning lot of skills from there
The mindbend is national level technical fest it is also good

Dislikes

No proper management in mess , they do not provide the plates glass spoon regular time
The taste of food is not good some of that they are making it too sweet
The placement ratio in our department is very less

Placement Experience:

Till now I am not placed yet, but yeah I want to do internship in non core and core both the fields , right now I'm preparing for mock interviews and i applied for research internship at 2 colleges, In the department of electrical engineering highest package is 36 lakh and avg package is 9 lakh the students get placed is 52 % , after getting degree I want to do a job and after that I want to study the MBA

The course curriculum and our overall faculties
The student chapters and student clubs here
Our annual fests including techfest, and annual fest

Dislikes

Our infrastructure is poor which needs development
Our campus placement recently in the year 2023
Our Administrative limits and facilities involvement in student matters

Placement Experience:

Placements are offered in our course with PSUs also offering placements, and ghe placement percentage is good for B.Tech and research and placement is good for Science (Masters ) students, also percentage placement is over 70 and average package is 8-10 lacs

SVNIT: Get a closer look to your college

Likes

Facilities have great ammount of experience and knowledge in there field
Sports facility is impressive and we have won severel trophies in inter NITs too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My branch is chemical engineering and the methodology followed if updated with new world's tech and it is highly beneficial for the students. Also under NEP, certain changes are made for further smooth functioning of curriculum. Faculty members have immense amount of knowledge in their respective field.

Dislikes

Laundry is Not Available in the hostel Rooms
In Chemistry lab Lab Equipments Are Not good
Classes Are also not good and Equipments in the Computer lab

Placement Experience:

So many placements are there in my college .in my branch contains 12 types of companies are there .every student maintain CGPA 7.5 he got must and should be placement . And the highest package of our group is 49 lakhs per Annum

A good place for a disciplined student

Library , sports facilities , exposure to various clubs
opportunities available for the tag of Nit like internship eligibilities and ppo's etc.

Dislikes

Food quality in mess and water quality and a bit hygiene
Power cut and internet related issues which occur rarerly
Some strict administration rules regarding fee remission

Placement Experience:

For masters students in physics you can go for an internship or Pre placement offer at 4 th year of a five year course. There was a list of so many companies around 200+ with a decent number of percentage of placements, I don't have any exact numbers to provide. Highest package of this year is 56lpa and the average package is 7lpa and many software roles along with the core jobs. Nearly 80 percent of the students who wish to appear for placements usually gets placed. I am looking for a higher education opportunities after this.

The college is situated in the center of city. so there's not much burden in travelling
Regarding college life, i got exposed to people from states all over India, which helped me to develop my communication skills

Dislikes

There's no non-veg provided in mess. so for it we have to pay extra money for it, which is a problem for most of students
There's a lot of groupism and casteism in this college.
Infrastructure is too bad. there's no auditorium in our college which is a huge drawback.

Placement Experience:

coming to placements, students can get their paid internships from third year itself , which if interested they get the preplacement offer too, plus point is that 95% of students ( in cs dept) get placed . companies like microsoft, delloite, jp morgan, oracle, accenture and other prominent mnc's visit for placements , and mentioned above 95% of students get placed. highest package as per last year stats is around 44-45l per annum and average package is around 18-20l per annum . i would like to pursue my masters in artificial intelligence.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
