IMU Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The course is well designed for the career we have opted it all teachers us about the things and necessary for the job. The faculty gives their best for the understanding of students and exams are held time to time for the revision purposes

Companies start visiting campus for placement in 3rd semester and the top rankers are made to sit for the interview and selection process. Recent Campus placement was 100% and almost all are placed by the end of the 8th semester. Top shipping companies of the world like Chevron, NYK, Anglo Eastern, Dyanacom, Fleet Management, and Pacific Basin are regular recruiters.

Cadets start getting placed from second year . Shipping Companies approach our college as it is the best without amy doubt . Almost 100 percent students get placed . A cadet joins ship after getting btech marine engineering.

The placement of IMU Kolkata is quite good. In the year 2022 the placement was around 99%. There are rputed companies like Chevron, Shell, Scorpio which comes to the campus for recruiting. The highest packages was 250000 last year.

After fourth semester(completiong econd year) Cadets are eligible to sit company interview and try to take placement. The placement is very good of this college (at about 99.1% ). Many foreign companies normally come to the University to take Cadets like NYK , Shevron, Sinrg, PB(Pacific Basin). The average package of this companies are at about 60000-80000 INR.

From the first semester onwards, students are eligible for the campus placements. There are a lot of companies according to their eligibility criteria they take student in their company the name of some companies are specific basin Chevron MSK OSK liners shell, Synergy ETC the average package is around 6 lakh and the highest is most probably around 8 lakh to 10 lakh the percentage of getting placement is 100% in this college and my plan is to join Chevron after getting the degree of Btech Marine Engineering.

The placements are the best thing in this college. As the opportunities that they provide are the best in INDIA. Big shipping giants, like TORM TANKERS, Chevron, NYK LINES, Benhard Schult, Synergy, PACIFIC BASIN, Shell, DYNAGAS, etc come each year to recruit Cadets of all years. The placements begin in First Year itself.

The placement is about 70 percentage By the 3 Rd year nearly 60 percentage gets placed If you don't have any backlogs the you will definitely get placed Companies like Nyk Anglo eastern Chevron Mol Shell British waterways And many more companies visits the campus

The cource curriculum in imu Kolkata is quite well, you also get here a good practical knowledge in the workshop. This exam is held once in a year, in my case it was on 10 july Teacher are also well qualified here

College offers a good amount of placements with very big names like Scorpio Pacific basin please etc coming in the college for recruitment drive. The placement percentage varies from 90% to 100% each year including the cadets from the first year to the fourth year getting placed.
