Placements is damn good. Just recently the first year cadets have been given the opportunity to sit in the placement cell. About 90% cadets are placed in well management and ownership companies. Placement is a huge factor that this college have been settled as its legacy. All because of its Old DMET rules and regulations. This college does own the best Cadets in the whole Asia as per the Google too

The college has an 100% placement record. Cadets get introduced to various shipping companies from first year itself. Cadets are groomed to perfection. By the end of fourth year, cadets are mostly placed.

Student become eligible after 1st semester. If hmthey had no supplementary exam pending. Companies th SHELL TANKERS, TORM TANKERS, FLEET , NYK LINE, SYNERGY, PACIFIC BASIN, BRITISH WHALES, ANGLO EASTERN, ETC. And every company had made a decent offers to the cadets. Highest package offered 15 lakhs. Almost every cadets gets placed which enrolled in this Institute. I will be joining shipping and will be sailing.

Placements: 1. The percentage of students placed is almost 90-95% every year. 2. The lowest salary offered by a company is 600 USD, and the highest salary offered is 25000 USD or even more. 3. Top recruiting companies are CHEVRON, NYK, PACIFIC BASIN, WSM, SYNERGY, and more.

From 3rd semester onwards students are eligible for placement Many companies visit the campus for placement like NYK Lines, CHEVRON ship management,Shell ship management, Scorpio Tankers,Torm Tankers,Dianacom Tankers& many more

Normally students are eligible for campus placement from 5th semester but some cases get to sit in interview from the 2nd semester Companies that visit the campus are Mitsui, NYK , Chevron, Synergy, etc Packages range from 10lacs to 12lacs Almost everyone here gets placed My plans after getting the degree is to sail as an engineering cadet initially

Placement scenerio is the beauty of our college from 2nd sem onward college start coming and placement percent os 98 almost all the student get placed here All the world top shipping company come here from NYK to Torm all the company visit our college and almost all get placed offer are like in which ship you are going to work like lng, tanker or Carrier Average package of our college is 8-9lakh My plan after degree is going for sailing till i didn't become the chirf engineer

1.I am 2023 entry cadet and companies are coming from 2nd semester for placements.Some lady cadets got placements in first semester. 2.Approx 20 companies are lined up for placements and jt is increasing year by year . 3.Package is according to the ship you will be joined in the your respective company. 4. Placement here in IMU kolkata is 100 percent .If you are not getting any arrears in semester.
