- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
- Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.

Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

- The classrooms are air conditioned and properly maintained.

- The faculty are not motivated to get the students interested in the engineering subjects.
- The hostel conditions are not good and needs to be improved.
- More courses need to be introduced according to the students interests and the cpi criteria needs to be removed for choosing the courses
Placement Experience:
The students become eligible for placements in the 7th semester as the placement season begins.
For the year 2021-2022, 200+ companies came to the campus for placements. A total of 900+ offers were made.
The highest package offered was around 2.4cr grabbed by a student from the CSE department.
The average package of the entire btech batch was around 23 lpa.
The placement percentage was around 80?.
The profiles range from, IT/Software, Non-tech, Core eng, Finace, Analyst, Education Design

- Sports facility and campus scene and the exposure to different fields.
Dislikes
- Campus is made far from city making it a bit difficult for some things.
Placement Experience:
after 7th sem UG students become eligible for campus placements, placements are uiet good in IIT guwahati according to status approximately 95% students get placed every year from iit guwahati, and rest students get placed from outside campus after completion of there degree .
highest package offered this year was 2.05cr international and 1.2 cr domestic. about 11 students got 1cr+ and 90 students got 50lpa+

The placements of our College are extremely good with the Computer science and engineering branch having the average placement of around 40 lpa . Also the selection rate is also high like for the CSE its around 95% .

The placement cell opens the portal for students after the 6th semester.
We have a good placement legacy.
Our average package in 2022 was 26.27 lakhs and in 2021 was 21.06 lakhs.
Various companies recruit from our college like Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, TVS, R&D, GAIL, etc.

- Well-designed curriculum (I'm talking about our branch)
- Beautiful Campus we have, full of greenery. It feels so refreshing to walk through the nature when we are stressed out.
- Placement stats obviously, at the end we all come for good job opportunities only..
Dislikes
- It is sometimes annoying to find too many monkeys, dogs,cats in our hostel, they sometimes jump into our rooms
- This is a personal one. Our college is too far from my home, so travelling to home sometimes doesn't seem easy.
Placement Experience:
Placements season happens after the 7th semester in our college during winter holidays. Being a top tier college so many big companies visited , total 300 companies partcipated in the recruitment process. The placement percentage for overall B.Tech programme is 83% whereas in our branch exclusively it is 95.5%. The highest package overall is 240LPA
(international) and 120LPA (domestic) and average package being 21LPA. Exclusively for our branch, highest is 62.7LPA and average 29LPA.
All the statistics I provided are as per our college placement reports of 2022-23.

- I like the level of students and competition that is there in general.
- Vibrant Campus, with many active clubs for students with different interests, and of course social life.
- The placements are really good and the tag of IIT also is very valuable in the beginning of our career.
Dislikes
- The campus is a bit far from the city...
- The professors, although they are good in research, but are not good at teaching.
- There are not many places on the campus where boys and girls can work together, you cant talk in library, and there is no allowance for opposite gender in boys/girls hostels.
Placement Experience:
Placements are really good, mostly in SDE or finance analyst, consultant, with an average package of 26 lakhs. around 98% students are placed. Opportunites for higher studies is also very good, with mny students going for MBA from IIMs, or core STEM studies at Harvard, MIT, oxford, and IISc.

- The beauty of the college made me fascinated.
- The cultural fests are too good to enjoy.
- There are many opportunities to develop ourselves during the activities.

- It is really hot during summer that we can't even stay inside the room.
- It is somewhat difficult to go to the building far away without a bicycle.
- There is no medication available in hostel. Once has to go to hospital for sure.
Placement Experience:
The placements are offered by large companies. The students are eligible for the campus placement from their third semester. Some of the companies visited are reliance, bajaj etc. The highest package offered by reliance is 2.4 crore per annum. The percentage of students getting placements is 74.09 . I plan to do with my placement for two years and then preparing for civil services examination.

- Everyone students here run behind CPI . What do I feel runnin Behind skills is better that running behind CPI
- Girs boys ratio . Our eyes are bored of seeing only boys in the campus
- Faculties are not that friendly with students
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am studying in IIT Guwahati in computer science and engineering. I chose this just because of my passion for tech. Faculties are good but at the end of the day, your efforts matter. Exams are conducted twice per sem.
